Pls, help identify this bracket - 68 Fastback

Since the first body shop was a mistake and the second one did a lot of body work, I have various bits that are not installed on the body. I figured most of them but this bracket puzzles me. Can somebody tell me where this supposed to go?

I'm thinking it looks like a power steering hose bracket that mounts to the motor mount.

Definitely not.

This is the power steering hose to motor mount bracket:

Here you can see the rear bumper guard brackets, the sharply hooked end is the bottom, where the lower guard bolt comes through the valence panel and attaches, and the flat upper end is attached to a bolt that comes through from inside the trunk. The top end of the bumper guard attaches directly to the taillight panel. Doesn't exactly inspire one with the potential strength of its guarding ability, does it?

Yep, that's what they are! Thank a lot!
now I can put them away - I'm not going to have bumper guards at all.

The guards were optional in 68 anyway. It's easy to tell, if the holes are there for the upper bolt, the car had all 4 guards, non-guard cars had no holes. Since the Marti report will also indicate that, I'd do the car with the holes, and plug them with the same rubber plugs used to seal the rear guard holes on 65-66 GT's.
