misfiring? kinda stumped

Yea just the rears. Should be easy to do with the longtubes since it brings the o2's so far down. I did start it up again and listened to the injectors which all are clicking but seems like the left side(facing car) front 1 maybe 2 are clicking pretty loud and did notice that one injector got fuel on it so I know 1 needs some new o-rings

Consider that if the front O2 sensor were turned off, this would make the PCM run in constant "open loop" mode. Your mileage would be terrible and likely the driveability would suffer a lot. IMO, it's far more likely that the REAR O2 sensors have been disabled because the cats have been removed.

Recommendation, ignore the rear O2 sensors. Bank 12 and 22. Pay attention to ONLY the front O2 sensors (bank 11 and 21). OBTW, bank 1 is the right side. Bank 2 is the driver's side.

So the front right is 11. The front left is 21.

OBTW, WHICH cylinders are you getting a misfire on? For a coil pack application, sometimes it's possible to gleam additional information if a "paired" set of cylinders are misfiring. Why? Because it points to a possible common cause.

For a V8 coil pack application, the paired cylinders are:
Coil #1-cylinders 1,6
Coil #2-cylinders 5,3
Coil #3-cylinder 4,7
Coil #4-cylinder 8,2

If considering cleaning the fuel injectors, consider an injector cleaning/flow test service such as InjectorRX.com. Once cleaned and tested, the injectors are as good as new. Cheaper than new.

FWIIW, A circuit malfunction DTC is usually wiring, coil pack, or PCM (bad coil driver) related. Since the coil pack are new, this should be ruled out. So that leaves the connector, wiring and PCM.
 
yea there are no cats and the tuner i have i disabled the o2s cause even with mil the check engine light still came on.

The misfire was coil c and d which im assuming is number 3 and 4?
po353 and po354. igniton coil c primary/secondary circuit malfunction and igniton coil d primary/secondary circuit malfunction​
 
The rear o2's read cat efficency and do no control fuel trims.... I would first make sure you have resolved the coil pack code before you move on to something else. Use a automotive steth scope to listen to the injectors pulsing before you go to the trouble of tearing them out.

Any chace your tuner is a SCT? If you have a laptop you could use live-link to data log more PID's
 
Don't have a stethscope but I do have a long screwdriver :) already had checked them and all 'click' altho 1 of them seems loud(can't tell if its motor of injector)

No sct but it is sniper tuning which I could do live data just don't have a laptop to load it on and bring out. Tried using a laptop, not gonna work haha wont work on 64bit windows
 
well have a buddy that i used to work with that i tracked down that builds motors and works at a repair shop. Hopfully getting him to come over with his snap on scan tool and fuel pressure gauges to maybe track this bug down.

Hmm.. It's the circut malfunction code thats odd. I just put a new engine in a Ranger about 3 weeks ago and when it came time to start it up I was getting a primary/secondary code but the engine would run, but very rough. Wiring and coil pack checked out.... During my install I neglected to tighten the 10mm bolt to the harness on the PCM (rangers have thier PCM's in the firewall under the hood 98 up).

I guess the moral of the story is may be possible the PCM is at fault here. I doubt the bolt in the PCM harness has removed itself..... :hail:
