Manual Transmission Question

Hey guys, this might be a stupid question but I'm new to M/T and I'm trying to learn all I can. Recently while driving my newly acquired '11 V6 I've found that the transmission seems comfortable between 1500-2000 rpm, but not in every gear. When I'm in 3rd it starts to shudder sometimes around 1800 lets say, but the other gears are perfectly happy at those values. 3rd seems smoother in the 2000-3100 range.

Is this normal? I imagine it is based on gear size if it is a normal thing. It makes sense to some degree to me, but if it's an issue I'd like to get it taken care of.

Thanks!

From some things I have heard there is a "shudder" in 3rd gear. This is due to the transmission being a dual clutch. It is a "nature of the beast" situation.

Hmm that wouldn't be terrible then. Oddly after a shudder I can give it some gas and let it drop back to the same RPM and it won't shudder anymore.
