What are the differences in the chassis of the S195 and S197 models? I've seen S195 pop up periodically in discussions, in the context of being after the SN95 but before the S197 but I can't quite nail down the difference. It's almost like S195 was concept and S197 was production...?

I think that you mean:

SN95

and S197

SN95 is a derivative of the Foxbody, it's basically an 83-88 T-Bird with some minor updates. S-197 is a completely different chassis, much better overall vehicle especially the 11+. The S550 (2015+) is a derivative of the S197 with some minor updates like an IRS, and new front cradle.

I'm not so sure about that. Their chief engineer, Dave Pericak has stated multiple times that nothing was carried over from the previous model and the S550 is an entirely new chassis.
