Some aftermarket harmonic balancers and flywheels come as a universal part. You bolt on the weight for either 28 Oz. or 50 Oz. The stock late model cranks were all 50 Oz.

On any balance or vibration problem, I would look closely at the stock harmonic balancer first. They are known for slipping the outer ring and causing an imbalance.

thanks joe , the balancer that was on the motor was a 1 piece unit from dayco(power bond ) SFI unit and double key wayed by the machine shop . I swapped it with a. new frpp I already had to try to narrow the issue down and that wasn't the cause .
 
Put stock TRANS mount In re assembled everything and changed the oil . Much nicer to drive again we are back in business for now I am just gonna keep running it . oil looked good not metallic or copper like . I took a sample to have tested I need to cut the filter as well

I too drove mine to work in the rain today. Although instead of an alt, I need a P/S rack. Mine locks up like its catching on something and I almost put it into a curb yesterday leaving work.

Picked up 31 spline axles for 50 bucks . I have been driving the car non stop since Monday night and despite the damn vibration the car has been flawless . cleaned it today and put it away , I got the DD up and running last night but didn't want to put the car away esp dirty

Made a shake down pass it went 13.55 at 110 with a :poo: 60 . didn't do a burn out didn't let air out of tires . just slipped the clutch real hard and eased into it .

Next pass I aired it down - 17lbs Left at like 28-3k spun a little but not too much 2.2 60 13.22 at 109 and change . 12s are there just need seat time I am happy for 2 passes
