Anyone Try Goodyear Hi-miller Hoses?

Goodyear is good with rubber. Their hoses and belts are usually a premium aftermarket brand. You do know the blue was a SSP thing, right?

Gates is another good brand. Dayco is a standard parts house "bargain" brand.

Actually blue just happened to be the colour of silicone Goodyear made the hoses out of at the time. They just ended up on the SSP cars because they needed silicone hoses. If silicone hoses came in other colours back then, I'm sure the SSP cars could have ended up with them too.

No blue for you? Are you a plain black kinda guy? I was wanting em just because they're blue.
I like to keep the bling to a minimum. A little flat wrinkle black a few polished aluminum pieces and a nice set of red plug wires to set it off. The wrinkle black makes it look more modern. IMO

When I first bought the car, the previous owner had everything coated in blue. Looked friggin awful!!!

The blue running along the firewall is a bit much. Gearbanger likes a big black ribbed hose.

The blue is what kills it for me too.

How many cars have you ever seen that have blue radiator hoses? That's one of those things you do NOT want to call attention to.

Itslike wanting pink spark plugs

When my engine was basically stock I ran the hoses in question for a few years, along with a little bling. I was into that sort of thing.

However last year I decided add some POWA and clean things up a bit;)

It isn't just the blue that gets me. That would be fine (to a degree) if all owners were as attentive as Onefine88 above. You know how many hoods I've popped over the years to see a set of these looking the most awful shade of green and yellow after years and years of road grime and heat cycles? At least the black hoses stay black....those blue hoses look like they've contracted gonorrhoea after a few years and need to be cleaned with penicillin.
