If the rubber/wheels are in any descent shape that's a steal. I'd buy them no matter if you like the way they look on the car. Can always flip them for a $ or nice to have for a trip down the strip

Ok found one

Ohh C'mon!!

Nothing says "And it's got a big assed tach, hose clamped to the column, a single plastic Jazz racing seat, and a 3" red RCI 5 pt harness" any better than a set of those things.
Weld draglites are one step above Centerline auto/drags, and they are one step above an aluminum mini spare in the grand scheme of things.

Just because the car is a product of the 80's doesn't mean it has to be dressed like it.

Unless you like parachute pants, and red leather short coats w/ a dozen zippers:shrug:

Mike, is that setup in the same category as chrome ponies and cheese graters? That is what it sports now. I actually do like draglites on black gts, not really feeling it on the white one. I think it is a good deal for some track day wheels and rubber at least.

No because a weld draglite is an aftermarket "choice".

If you can choose what you want to replace the chrome pony, why in the world would you replace it w/ something that was beaten on even after it was dead, from being beat to death?

Think about it this way:

"Welcome to our All fox mustang show,....be sure to check out our rows of white GT's w mild bolt-on's on a 5.0 w/ draglites"

And as a special for the first 500 spectators, we are offering your choice of a hand gun for sticking in your mouth afterwards, or we can just shoot your ass dead here now, and spare you the grief.

Not sure what you mean about the edit? I understand what you are saying about them being played out. I guess that is the same way I feel about seeing cobra rs on any Foxbody

Simple, When I first replied, you made no mention of an alternative color (at least I didn't see the black option) that the wheels would be better suited on.
Oh, yah it took me about 10 minutes to finish the edit. I think you just liked my last post in the middle of an edit before I posted about the cobra rs

I had Weld's on my 87 vert back in the 90's. I think they are timeless but yes they are on many, many cars

Yah not my cup of tea. I think it's harder to find the right wheels on white foxes.

The black one looks mean though imho

I like Cobra R's and welds. It is an era thing I guess. That's one of the reasons I like them. My dads generation liked Cragar SS wheels on all the muscle cars. Me not so much. Of course if you were going 5lug I like about 20 wheels better. I wouldnt rock the welds as an everyday wheel but track use...yup

Nature of the beast kinda I think there Ole Mike. The fox mustang is sorta the "poor mans" muscle car these days. Not solely I know, there are a few lets blow $40k on a fox guys out there but I'd be willing to bet the majority are weekend warrior mechanics on a budget type. Especially the 30 something's who are starting families and trying to balance diaper and cold air intake money. Hence the bagillion enquiries about cost friendly aftermarket and or factory "upgrade" items.
