1993 Cobra Mustang Hates Me .....sos .. Help ..sos ..help

I am also betting you have a major vacuum leak. Just went through this myself. What lower intake gasket did you use. For a cobra you can't use a standard 5.0 intake gasket. It will leak. A LOT. You need a felpro 1250 or similar gasket set that is specific for the heads/intake of a cobra/gt40 head.

After market one . The car comes stock with 24 lb injectors , right ?

Yes, but OEM setups don't use a "calibrated MAF" that's purely an aftermarket way to trick the computer so that you can use different injector sizes. The proper way to change size is with a tune or through the computer.

The Cobra uses programming in it's EEC to run the 24's with a special meter (as in not the same meter as the standard 5.0 HO"

You basically cannot run an aftermarketr MAF calibrated for 24's on the car because both the MAF, AND the computer are telling the car it has 24# injectors.

I would try and find an OEM 1993 Cobra 70mm MAF.

This car hates be , it is only getting worse any thing I work on it . Well I ordered the new fuel psi gauge . If fuel is good . Nd if i can't find a vaccum leak . I will buy a new maf . That maf had been on the car for 6 years . And ran great on the car . The lasted owner b4 me installed it . It's a 70 mm

That just doesn't sound right as the Stock Meter would have been 70mm, why would the previous owner swap it out for another 70mm. You should do as said above and do a little investigating on that.

He said it ran good for 5 years with the same maf he has now. I don't think it's a maf/tuing problem unless that is the maf he has crapped out. I've had stock maf's go bad, when they do the car will start and kinda choke, stumble, and die. Tell us the codes that you got when u ran codes? What are the numbers?

The Prob is its not as simple as tbat now because he touched so much stuff at this point it just sounds like a big vac leak
