Hey everybody,
I've done a bunch of searching but I'm troubled in deciding what to replace the struts and shocks on my '93 LX 2.3L with.
There are so many options and price points, but the fact that I'm carrying much less weight over my front end than the average Fox owner complicates things further.
It is a street car that won't see any track time so I'm looking for as smooth a ride as possible. I have no other suspension mods and I don't plan on lowering it.
I think KYB GR-2s seem to be the best option but I figured I'd ask those who have experience with this.

Thanks!

A smooth as ride as possible and no other suspension mods? At the risk of being ripped, it still leads me to Monroe Sensatrack. With a 4 cyl up front, they will be a good improvement over stock without the performance harshness risk. A Mustang still will not ride like a Lincoln, but they can make even our mini van ride well without floating, either empty or packed to the ceiling.

Nothing wrong with KYB quality. But from my recent experiences with them, you may find them harsher than you want. No floating, but the basic front KYB struts we got ride like a lumber wagon. Good for handling, and good for rattles and shaking your kidnew stones loose too.

Haha thanks guys. I do understand it won't ride like a Lincoln, I just figured I'd ask some people "in the know" so to speak. It's got Sensetracks on there now with about 80k on them!
I'll be ordering in the next few weeks and won't be installing until the weather warms the hell up but I'll be sure to post my $.02 when it's done.
Thanks again.
