Build Thread Want To Blow 5 Years And $50k On A Foxbody? Step By Step Instructions Inside!

I'd like to do the polished 1300 degree coating on at least the headers and crossover. I'm a sucker for shiny headers. The downpipe will be wrapped, so I may ask them which coating would hold up best when wrapped. I don't care about that being shiny.

Sorry! Just trying to give you a realistic expectation of what the cost will be. It all adds up so fast. I'm just using a little Licoln Electric 135. Small, but good enough for my pursposes.

Way off topic of your build, but I scored a Millermatic 135 today with cart and bottle, maybe someday in the future I'll be able to venture into the crazy world you live in now. I searched this as I could have sworn you had a Miller welder but whatevs, I was gonna buy the Lincoln until I found the guy on CL selling his with cart and bottle less than a new Lincoln 140.

I have a Lincoln 140 flux/gas combo and it works great, best with C25.. Congrats on the good find.

Looks like it's time to get back to work!

Re-read all 101 Pages. My wife looks pissed.

Keep up the work. Can't wait to get back into a fox. Going to build a mild 351, t56 backed, with an IRS out back. Simple, cruiser.

Your attention to detail is incredible.

Progress.

I had to check the PTV clearance because the valve reliefs in the new pistons were different than the old ones. All is well. 0.300" exhaust and 0.105" intake including correction for the compressed head gasket.

I think I'm really going to like the blacked out look!

As neat and OCD as I am, I'm like tornado when I work. Everything is a mess until I'm all done. My garage will look like a blast site until the engine is all together and in the car.

I'm the same way, I'm excited cause my full MM Coil over kit is on a UPS truck heading to me, my garage will be trashed this weekend while I install all of it.

Sweet. Great read. Awesome stang.

Perfection Is in the details, and you didn't over look a single detail. Too bad about the engine, but at least it didn't tear it self apart at high rpm. Taking the heads and the entire rotating assembly (like my brothers did when the oil pump drive shaft snapped) with it.

Cheers!
