Hello people. I just joined the forums but have been wanting to join for a while now. usually pull some good info off stangnet. Currently driving a 99 35th limited GT that I have done a pretty decent amount of work on. Working on building a secondary block I picked up for real power though. Right now I have all of the suspension done, cobra brake upgrade, auto to manual swap, and most of the common bolt-ons... Fender well intake, 70mm TB, Upgraded plenum, TB spacer, underdrive pulleys, etc...

Excited about being a part of this community.

Hi Im skipfc2 I bought a 86 mustang convertible very cheap to get my 13 yr old interested in anything but PlayStation lol I'm not a mechanic at all but when I looked under the car it was clearly the guy I was getting it from only hD it a couple months owner before him had speebig money on full front end and rear suspension I thought that strange being a v6 ? It needed a starter and ran hot because of a freeze plug. It took me a few hours longer than it should have but now runs great but cosmetic work is a must the roof is ripped I taped it lol back quarter windows are missing lol needs wheels ( has steel wheels painted silver ) tires are bald needs paint but what runs for $500 ?

Wassup. New member to SN from northwestern Washington. First things first...I do NOT own a Mustang. I own a 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Super Track Pack. I am not here to flame or troll. Even though I own a Challenger I like muscle cars and if I weren't pushing my Challenger I would be in a Mustang 5.0. My very first car was a '81 Mustang that I shared with a friend (then another friend decided he wanted in too) so you can say I'm a long time enthusiast.

I'm 42 and looking to see some nice Stangs and maybe even meet up with some people in my area to compare rides etc. Hoping I get a warm welcome here even though I'm behind "enemy lines".

Well it has been 37 years since I bought my first Mustang, she was a used 71 grande white on tan. I loved that car and many of my best memories happened in her, but I went to the dark side after I sold her and haven't had a mustang since.

Until two nights ago when I came across a triple white Q code 1973 convertible and all the memories came flooding back. Now I'm just waiting on delivery of her to Florida where she will be living hopefully for the rest of my days.

I look forward to making new friends here and creating many more wonderful memories.

Hello all!!!

Hello all, I purchased a 2006 Mustang for my son with 35K miles on it in mint condition in April 2015 when he turned 16. He just entered college and we have it in the garage now with 55k on it; is using my wife's car for now. Wanted to join to get some insight on a couple of small problems.
Hi Mitch, this thread is a confusing one started a long time ago.

It was started in one of our subforums to get the newer people with that generation of mustang to help them to get going in that subforum.

I think it ought to be deleted.

Back to you though, welcome to Stangnet.:welcome:

Post a picture or two of your new mustang for us to see.

Look around our S197 subforums ('05-'14). You'll get help with the issues you have there. Start a new thread there in the General Talk or Tech sections with any questions you might have.

It's good to have you with us.

Hey Greg, welcome to Stangnet.

We would love to see pictures of your mustang, post a couple for us.

Look around our '79-'95 subforums, that's where us fox nuts hang out.

Good to have you with us.

Hey Chris @RaggedGT , can we get rid of this thread?

I could delete it, but I want those last couple people to have their own welcome wagon thread so they don't get too lost.

Too many new people have posted in it thinking it's the welcome wagon.

I stumbled across it by accident and noticed a lot of people posted in here and probably left when they got no response.

It was started in the fox general talk area (I think) so someone could talk with the newer members in that section, then got moved here for some reason.

This is beyond my Noobz invested powers.
