I got the E brake cable bracket welded to the floor ,the rear seat brackets ,and the seat side panel brackets welded in .I finished welding the trany mount brace to the trany tunnel .I just have the trunk drop off and the lower part of the driver quarter and the two roof patches and the welding will be finished .

Still waiting on the quarter patches, aaaas usual :dammit:.I decided i could at least drill the lowering holes in the spring towers .I started to scribe the lines when i thought :chinYou need a template .So i found some scrap 1/4 inch plate steel and made a template

I just bolt it through the old control arm holes and drill away .

I tried an old control arm shaft and the bolts went right through with ease .The bit sure didn't go through that easy ,ever have a 1/2 inch bit hook up in a high torque drill:ack:

my steel plate is large enough to make the holes for a 65-66 also ,may need it some day .Now if my patch panels would just make it in

I finally got some time to work on one of my cars, but this will not last long . I cut the trunk drop off out ,i was surprised to see it was mostly bare metal on the inside and just the very bottom had pin holes .

I cut out the rust in the bottom of the quarter but i left the end where it meets up to the rear valance so it will still line up with the new valance a little better .It was the same way ,just pin holes in the very bottom and a couple about one inch up from the bottom in the quarter face so i went about three inches up the face of the quarter to make sure i got all the rust .The tail of the wheel tub down in the quarter was spotless ,not one speck of rust ,it had been coated in tar and i guess that saved it .

I welded in the new drop off first

I welded in the quarter patch next and spot welded the drop off and the quarter patch together .I need to do a slight bit of dolly work but it welded in fairly nice ...But i still hate my welder !
