Have a 96 mustang had a 4.6L I have got a 302 with c4 tranny in was wondering if anyone know if I can use say a 87-95 power steering pump would it hook to the excising p/s lines in the 96 just not sure. Are is there mounts out there to use the p/s pump off the 4.6 note my setup is just like the factory on the pulley system have not tried anything to the p/s yet just didn't look like it would work...thanks

No, I don't think so. The 95 has a female fitting on the power steering pump while the 96 power steering pump has a male fitting. And I think the 95 fitting is threaded while the 96 is not. So it won't work.

Ok thanks for the reply guess I could get new fittings and new p/s lines and get them press on to make it work just getting all the info before the weekend gets here so maybe I can have everything ready to finish this swap..

Are might be able to make a bracket using the 88 and 96 p/s brackets surly this wouldn't be hard..i did modify my transmission cross member to get the tranny bolted up could do the same to the p/s if it came down to it but I no there ppl out there that has done this before

Might be better to just use the bracket and pump that came with the engine and then just modify or carry over the lines. Maybe try to find a conversion kit. Keep it simple. Before you go altering the brackets, just try and do it the easy way.

I have finally got the 5.0 in the 96 mustang did not have to chang the k member it actually went in very well the power steering pump hooked right up to the rack and pinion only thing was the radiator in order to use the 96 radiator I just used the top and bottom radiator hose off a 90 mustang and put in a inline filler...so alot of stuff I research was false coming to the swap just thought I would let u guys know incase u decided to do it ur self
