The chassis jails in the NE are uber expensive.... You'll be more than fine with the s&w piecegot the tubing from S&W... same kit as @84Ttop used in his car and we are going to tweak it as needed. its mild steel so it was only 328. and then im picking it up so that saved 120 in shipping. the 2 local builders i talked to wanted ~3K to do a 8.50 legal cage.
FixtYou'll be more than fine with the S&M piece
car might go 8.90s with the new motor so i should be ok. going to add some stuff to it like a tub bar and X the doors alsoThe chassis jails in the NE are uber expensive.... You'll be more than fine with the s&w piece

You bumped your head if you want to x the doors... I would put a roof brace in it before an x in the door.... If you really feel frisky put the kidney bar in but I know for a fact that you will not be happy about climbing over the x brace to get your chocolate/vanilla swirly at the ice cream standcar might go 8.90s with the new motor so i should be ok. going to add some stuff to it like a tub bar and X the doors also

biggest thing ive found getting in and out of the race cars has been the height of the X in the door. if its low under the dash its pretty easy to deal with
