I overspent my car budget this week, so I said I'd sell some stuff to offset the costs. I knew I had a few parts laying around, but....

IMG_4028.JPG

She walked in and saw this and said that I have problems. I dont keep it intentionally, it just accumulated over 5 cars and as many years. Sheesh. You should see how nice my shelves are now! This picture only covers about 75% of the stuff. There is a looooot more.

...off to start cleanup. Everything is listed locally with 'make offer'. Of course, I get asked instantly what I want for X item. MAKE. AN. OFFER. IDIOTS.

I wish there was another way.

My wife wouldn't dare do that to me... The attic over the garage is crammed with so much craft stuff that I am afraid that it will collapse on the Mustang parked in the garage. I put a 4x4 brace post in the middle of the garage to shore up the sag in the ceiling . One small upstairs bedroom can only be entered at risk of being swallowed alive by the mountain of craft stuff. It has clearly gotten out of hand...

I got a similar hoard in my garage, except I end up keeping it as long as I get tired of stepping over it, and eventually tip it into the trash can.

The "staying power" of any particular items is totally dependent on how much I paid for it when I bought it.

Right now, the contender for the " why are you keeping this crap?" Trophy goes to the B 234 Volvo 4 cylinder head I paid 300.00 for.

Would I sell it if I could? Sure. For a fraction of what I paid for it. Is it worth the hassle to try?

Naaaaahhh.

Looks similar to the last time I cleaned out my parts hoard. Made some good money and even cut a few guys a good deal.

I need to do it again. I've got a few things I could prob get rid off. Explorer intake, gt40ps a black dash.

Eh never mind ill keep them

I can't decide what to do with these though... 2004 GT premium chrome wheels (same as 99/01 cobra) with maybe 1000 miles on them. I kinda want 2000 R brembos and 18s now

As you can see...they have been collecting dust a while. (Since 2005)

Pinterest. It's the bane of every married man these days. I emphatically said no when my wife wanted to make a sunburst mirror with spray painted plastic spoons for our living room. And chalk paint. Chalk paint, chalk paint, chalk paint...and chalk paint.

I fortunately have a buddy who owns a mini storage facility. .. and is a mustang nut, so I don't have to throw anything away, I just haul it to my buddy's place and he puts it in the "gold mine".

Between him and @hoopty5.0 I don't think I had to search for a single accessory drive part for my son's car...

Last Saturday a buddy of mine was putting a clutch in his mustang. Lo and behold, the aftermarket flywheel had no dowel pins in it when he pulled it apart. He calls to ask me where in town he can get dowel pins at 5pm on a Saturday.

I say, "come on by." Had to search high and low, but i had a set I kept.

Speaking of your son's car, how's that thing doing?
