I've never used a forum before so sorry if I miss anything but here's my problem.....I have a 98 gt with CIA, trick flow throttle body and plenum, magnaflow exhaust and lowering springs.....I recently decided to put some BBK headers on myself and had to tear a lot out to get to bolts so went ahead and put on steeda underdrive pulleys, removed ac unit because it never worked and added ac delete pulley and also got egr delete kit even though I know people have many opinions of that. Anyways I've checked for vacuum leaks, unhooked sensors, IAC, Crankshaft senseor. But seems all is okay but th car won't stay running. It fires right up, runs for 10 seconds and seems as soon as it gets oil pressure gage to go up the motor falls flat and dies??? It stays running if I hit the gas but you can feel the missing almost until I get it to higher rpms then soon as I leg off gas it does ... Car ran perfect before .... Waiting on a code reader but until then any advice would help

That's one thing I can't because it's just header and xpipe, nothing after that because it doesn't hook up correctly, trying to get it to run enough to get it to Muffler shop and the to dyno to get it all tuned. I have checked headers best I can I don't hear any pops or see any burn marks but I can't keep the car running long enough to get out and check while its idling for its 10 seconds before shutting off

If it was running before the work then it's something that went bonkers after you put it back together. Sounds awful like a bad IAC but I bet it is related to the EGR. You might have a leak somewhere.

thanks both for replies, I finally managed to figure out my problem after about 2 weeks of searching for hours a day. I started getting messed up readings on all my sensors and car wouldn't start for more then half a second. Apparently whoever had the car before me decided to do some rather unprofessional wiring way down In the harness that runs from the passenger side to behind the motor. I found 4 wires that had no covering that were twisted together with no crimps of any kind and they were all slightly touching one another in various spots. I don't know when I pulled the harness off if I stretched the wires back and fourth too much or what to cause the brittle tape to come apart but that was my problem. I had several codes thrown with scanner but only a few each time we checked but now that all the connections are properly connected the car seems to run and idle fine but running rich still until I get a tune I hope . What a pain in the ass wiring can be. My iac voltage read fine one day at 4.9 v and .91 feedback and three days later it read -3.6 and .71 which I don't understand so yes the iac was def part of it. Sorry for long response but incase other people have issues it could be one more thing to check . ( we noticed the problem when we saw where it looked like someone had cut the outer coating on the harness in a 6 " spot on passenger side of motor)
