I have a '72 351CJ engine set up for an auto trans. I want to convert it to a manual trans. Other than flexplate to a flywheel, any other changes need to be made or other considerations??? I assume a '72 351CJ flywheel is acceptable? Thank you.

You will need a manual pedal assembly ,clutch Z bar and the stud and ball for the block .You will need the frame bracket for the Z bar .You will need a manual bell housing with backing plate for the larger 4 speed fly wheel ,they need to be matching parts .You will need a starter for a manual transmission ,it has a different cone from one for an automatic starter . It is all bolt in you just have to have all the parts .

The car is a '67 Stang with a manual so I already have the pedal, Z bar, and frame bracket for Z bar.

Not sure what you're referring to when you say "stud and ball for block"?

As far as bell housing, backing plate and starter those are ordered as '72 351CJ correct??

Any changes to engine itself other than flexplate to flywheel?? THANK YOU!!
