Progress Thread My Kenne Bell Twin Screw'd Foxbody thread, (new addition to the family)

If I recall, the holes were larger than pins so the contact was iffy, add to that they were stretched pretty tight too and hence all the phantom "code" issues the ecu was trying to handle as connections came and went. Some folks open up the pins a little and add dielectric grease and ditch the jumpers. I didnt mind the jumpers on mine.

So I drove the hatch to work yesterday, it's about a 36 mile round trip. It drives real nice and surprisingly gets a lot of attention. However I've never, until now, driven a completely stock 5.0 and I have to say it's way too slow and too quiet. This car needs to get some HP asap.

Yes. I was going to put it on my car as it sits now, which is stock to the air box.

And yes, it's embarrassingly slow.

Thanks bro! I'm going to start removing my long tubes and full exhaust from the notch and the rear axle w/ 3.73 gears and prepping everything to get installed quickly into the hatch. I'll remove the smog pump and tab/tad and plug the heads too. This should wake the car up a bit.

And the new build begins

I've been fighting with the "survivor" part of this car. Going 25 years without even getting an aftermarket exhaust is really a cool thing. But seriously who cares. Most people (including myself) only like survivor cars because they are a great starting point for modifying them and not having to worry about hack work.

yep yep when I bought my most recent fox body, all it had was a set of flowmasters. even had the damn silencer in the airbox. (keeping that as someday it WILL be worth millions- everyone threw them out)

Swapping rear ends, coupe has the fresh frpp 3.73 gears. Also swapping suspension (griggs lca's, kyb's, eibach pro kit, CC's, upr bump steer).

Can I just have the notch? Lol awesome find man, should be a blast to drive with the swapped gears etc.
:burnout:
Pretty much the only mustangs I've owned and driven in have only had intake, full exhaust, suspension and gears. I was very happy with the sound, looks and acceleration with only those mods. I however am aching for just a bit more these days just because I can :)

what's the over/under on a vortech install? Put me down for 3 months
I'm too unpredictable (even to myself) to neither confirm nor deny the possibly of that. Actually it's been on my mind a lot however what combo to compliment a V3 S trim is what is boggling this mind of mine lately. Ideally, because I'm not super HP greedy at the moment, I really want about 370-400 rwhp out of my car and I'd like to do it with cast iron heads. I don't have a great answer as to why.

The more of this thread I read the more I want a bone stock hatch again.
Add Baby cam and exhaust with some nice wheels and just drive the :poo: out of it...
I'm getting boring haha
