@84Ttop...i was hoping to get this baby in this weekend but had a couple snags!

i have no smog pump so unless im missing somthing the belt routing dosnt work unless i get a smog delete?,and i have and black magic electric fan,i need to find a skinnier one because it touches the crank pulley?!,any suggestions?

other than that and a oem tensioner im almost there!

Smog pump delete is required to maintain the factory style belt routing, you can make the routing work without the smog pump but I do not advise this.
As far as the fan goes, on many occasions I have tilted the bottom of the radiator forward in the cradle to gain enough clearance for an electric fan setup. 1/16" is all you need.
Looks good in the black finish, you're on the home stretch!

wish i knew all this before!...lol,this is torture!....i ordered the delete, and im looking into slimmer fans, saw one thats 2.5 inches wide, that would be perfect, might be an option if it cools ok

Looking into doing a similar setup this winter, from what I've been reading you need a smaller water pump pulley and bigger steering pulley to make it work with the a/c delete? Can anyone confirm that?

Word of advice. With a supercharger you will normally need superb cooling depending on how often you hit high RPMs. I was running the ProForm 2800 cfm fan and it seemed to do ok but at high rpm's it was jumping up pretty high in heat temp. I didn't have an aftermarket temp guage so I never saw this happening. By the time the fan cooled the temps down it was just enough time the factory guage didn't go above half way.

After I got an aftermarket temp gauge I SAW WHAT WAS HAPPENING. You can blow head gaskets like this. I did.

So. I upgraded to a 3300 cfm fan and my temps stayed down. The fan shroud was the biggest issue I think. The cheaper fan even at 2800 cfm was only covering maybe little more than half the radiator(triple core). New fan covers pretty much the whole radiator.

I have the Vortech V2, triple core rad, and the Mustang Black Magic Xtreme Electric Fan Kit (79-93) 5.0 Fan is about 1/4" clearance.

Yep we look the same setup. Mine didn't clear either until I unbolted radiator supports, got under car, lifted radiator a little and pushed it towards(just bottom of radiator) front of car. It stays put as long as it's still sitting on the rubber floor supports. Then just get your upper rad supports bolted back down. I also had to really push in on the electric fan(best if you have help) then tighten down fan supports. All of this got me the clearance needed.

Yeah I plugged my TB. I run a hose from filler neck to cold air box. I will post pics of that later tonight.

thanks man.!....i do see that there is a plug in the vortec set up,but i have a anderson ford power pipe so im not exactly sure what to do?

Found a picture that should do. If you look closely you can see the plug on TB. Just a rubber plug with a small hose clamp. The hose I run from filler neck is 3/8 I think. Slides right on the nipple below filler cap. That runs over to cold air box. I used a small fuel filter between. It's connected to cold air box by a simple threaded brass fitting. Just drilled hole and threaded it in the plastic.

Yours is inside the fender I see but you can figure something out pretty easy. It just needs air.

Here is another couple options for smog delete.

1. You can do what this guy did if your not planning on A/C.

smog pump delete with vortech - Forums at Modded Mustangs
Pg. 36

2. Do you see the threaded bracket in his pics. The one on drivers side front of alternator. You can simple make one of these and delete the smog pump where its located now, and use that from alternator to vortech bracket. I'm planning on doing this option because I kept A/C. Also you don't have to make the rear bracket or relocate the alternator.

This is a good shot of the threaded bracket that I'm making for option 2.

Get the delete pulley and call it a day . I have the same black magic as you and have no clearance issues

@stang89bidges ....thanks for info bud, just going to stick with smog delete though

@TOOLOW91....im going to double check if i can make my fan work but maybe my rad is thicker or somthing?,and do you have a power pipe?,do i just plug the throttle body and put a filter on valve cover?, or do i have to make somthing work like pic above?
Thanks guys

I don't think you can put a breather on valve cover. I think it messes with the pcv valve or something. I read about it somewhere but can't remember all the details. Someone smarter than me can provide answer to that.

Edit: I just noticed you don't have the valve covers with filler neck. You already have a filter installed in back of passenger side valve cover. I would imagine if that's working then all you need to do is plug off the TB and call it a day.

It's either all in or nothing with the pcv you shouldn't run the breather and pcv together . I am plugged with breathers on my vc . You must delete the line that goes from the throttle body to the valve cover or else it would be pressurizing the crankcase whether you run the pcv or not . The design of the systemax which I have read many other have the same issue makes the pcv draw oil into the intake path like a siv which is why I chose to plug it off and run open breathers.

To answer it supposedly draws air in after the meter and can cause surging issues and mess up the air fuel . I have yet to have a problem last year I ran just. A filler neck with the filter and then with this motor I needed the baffles . So I went to carb style with 2 breathers and no more oil on my vc and the car runs identical to the way it did before I switched .
