So I have been running the Mishimoto rad and dual fan (1900 cfm) on my coyote swap with no issues, we finally got the AC all figured out (that was allot of trial and adjustment), AC works awesome,

But, on Max AC Im seeing my coolant temp rise in traffic, ugh.... will know specific temps after I drive this weekend with my scanner hooked up...

Any way what fan should I replace the Mishimoto with?

Thanks for suggestions

I run the same rad and fans on my turbo car. When they came out of the boxes I was disappointed to see this "high quality" radiator was the exact same size as stock, only aluminum. 2 rows instead of 3 that would clearly fit using the same tanks. I elected to give it a shot, but it also gets warm on drives more than 10 miles with ac on. I really don't think it's the fans.. in my case I believe it's lack of radiator capacity. I'll be upgrading again when the opportunity presents itself. If you have the same 2 row rad, I'd bet money that's your problem.

First off, Love super cold AC :nice:

What I saw today - ran about 150 miles, Scanner confirmed highway was fine, town was fine, stop and go traffic light is where it starts to climb... but its cooler out (high 80's) than its been too.

Thanks Mike, Taurus or Mark vii or viii, which fits best? I have plenty of depth between the motor and rad since the coyote sits further back,

Thanks Boosted, the rad works fine for my setup the fans are drawing the heat across from the condenser but not enough to cool both condenser and rad without the additional airflow it gets while Im moving...even the climb is pretty gradual - when moving it simulates more fan cfm and temps sit flat in or actually drop some to lower operating range at highway speeds. What Ive been seeing the last month without AC even 100 degrees out pcm isnt needing to call on the fans that often at all.

As an FYI, the AC high side controls the fans as needed, as does the PCM, so either or both can call for fan via relays

So I think 3000ish should work? Is there ever the potential for too much fan?

@Mishimoto Any fans with more cfm for your rad and dual fan combo, Im kinda disappointed they dont move enough air to run AC "safely"

I am running a stock fan now but I am test fitting my Mark VIII fan that I pulled and it requires a lot of fitting it seems. I have a 3 core radiator and Vortech but it wont fit at all just as it sits. I trimmed the M VIII fan shroud so far about a half an inch but it needs more trimming. I am using a Flex-a-lite 33054 VSC recommended by @MFE92 who should be able to give you better insight.

No, the T-stat sets the low limit.

So no worry about fan cycling too frequently then? OK

That's what gets me, It would seem blowers and turbos give rise to excessive heat much more than NA with AC since allot of you guys are running AC too - big cfm makes sense. Hate being on cusp of almost enough airflow

Thanks for the callout to MFE92 too!

Thanks, Ive been reading all day, sounds like the right direction, there is allot of varying info on v6 fan(s). single speed, two speed, dual fan contour style...

What Im thinking is two speed or more ideal dual fan, So I could use low/one as motor and high/two as AC, it should work ideal.

What's the real CFM and what year range ?

How clean is fit on the dual contour? that would help me narrow down allot!

And then there's Black Magic option,

After allot more reading and a few good write-ups on fans on the corral and here, I think Im going Contour.

Im thinking DCC 2 speed relay package since the contour draws less amps than the taurus, but I also understand the soft start VSC option has allot of merit. Thoughts?

aftermarket OE fan or jy?

DCC is also a soft-start, arguably the first, but yeah, if you want one two days from now instead of invoking goat sacrifice and visits to palm readers trying to divine when yours will be delivered, you need to look elsewhere.
