V3 Almost!

They're boosting 11:1 coyotes all day long...
Apples to oranges but I hear what you're saying. Op with the proper tune you should be able to handle 6psi easily(93-91 octane) and from my limited knowledge I'd think even more. It's really about timing and fuel. Light on the first and slightly heavy on the second and you would be safe.

i saw the fuel ratio when he was explaining it to me,it was around 11ish up until 5600-5700,all i know is thats what most safe blower tunes are normaly set,my buddies 06 dosnt pass 11.5 at full throttle, highest mine got was 12.1 i beleive at 8psi,i was running out of fuel i guess, thats why he said to set my limeter to 5500...the spark curves and all the other stuff i dont know....and i run 94 all the time

What fuel pump, inj, lines and rails are you running? The stock rails start loosing it around 500hp. If it were my car I'd eventually make sure I had enough fuel system to meet the needs of the blower. Understandable that may be down the road though.

42 injectors, bbk high flow fp,im going to keep it below 500 now for sure,i think 450ish will be enough for the time being...lol.....but before that i need to get it running again!

This is true but apples to oranges as in the variable valve timing allow enough over lap to bleed off cyl pressures and make it a total diff. Situation then it is with an old push rod motor

What pump? The rest is fine. After talking with some guys who know more than I do, they told me I'd need (2) 255lph or a 340lph pump if I wanted to add a blower. I only have the walboro 255lph(I thought I bought the 340 but it isn't unfortunately). I'm just curious if you're having any fuel delivery issues other than the obvious. If it's running out of fuel at 5500 or so would bother me. Just thinking out loud here...

bbk 255....the "tuner" said i would be fine with it.....not sure, but he did say i was running out of fuel a little above 8psi and 5600....im gona go with the 6psi pulley now so we see, prob change it to be safe idk yet

You should be similar to here.

My stats are similar to yours. Not sure what pump your running but I have an Aeromotive 340. This was with various air and coolant leaks from the new build..... all fixed now and she runs like a scalded dog!

nice!....thats with 6psi right?......and all the info you guys neeed would be on my dyno sheet?....or do i ask for somthing else?

I'm going to guess- the intake gasket shifted under boost- get a set of 1250S3 or 1262S3 depending on your port size. They have the steel rings around the ports. Use a bit of camel snot to keep the gaskets in place when you lay the head down and put a nice 1/4 bead of right stuff on the front and back china rails- let them set up for a few minutes. Cut some long threaded rod and put one in each corner where the manifold goes down into the head as a guide When you lay down the intake just finger tight all the intake bolts and then snug them up in 3 phases- 5,15,22 lb ft torque and let it sit for a few hours. Then come back and retorque all the bolts. Then you can put the upper on.
is this with aluminum heads?....afr says hand tight?....im torqued at 18fp right now?

let it sit a few hours and then go back and retorque them. You may also want to check them after a few heat cycles.
i already did that, and over night......i know i didnt do that when i got the engine so ya,i guess ill take the upper off and re torque after a few rides to be safe!.....assuming everything goes well!

I got the apples to apples thing, allot of guys are locking their cams too though.

Anyway my point was only that a good tuner would review the specs and set tables accordingly. Its not like this is the first 10:1 blower build.

Dude shoulda said, hey youre outta fuel, lets drop the tank and put in a bigger pump...... instead of acting clueless about the car.

@smkshw I hope it fires up and runs like a dream. If you were here Id connect with my tuner....

its not just you, its hard to find ANY local high-performance stuff unless you actually live near summit, jegs, lrs, or any of the other mail-orders that you're probably also going thru.

i will say though, that at least in stl theres ONE speed shop i can go to that will almost always have whatever odd-ball thing i forgot to order or broke in stock, and ONE really good mustang tuner who you have to dig through the internet to find, and he's out in the boonies.
