First Build

I wanna swap my factory valve covers for ford racing vc's however all the ones I'm looking at require "modification to clear intake" , guy on summit chat said a phenolic spacer would solve... You guys advised against a spacer on this thread earlier... Thought on this issue? Is a spacer a good idea in that circumstance or should I explore other options befor considering a spacer?
Thanks gents

as long as they are not the tall type you can run this style with no spacer . The throttle cable bracket holes may need to be slotted just to raise the bracket to clear the pass side vc . Other wise I run these with a. Systemax which is huge compared to stock still with no spacer and they fit .

Sup guys?! Should I or do I need to replace lifters?
I'm to lazy to look back at what cam/motor build you are doing but speaking in generalities you can keep the stock roller lifters. I decided to replace mine. The regular frpp lifters are descent(have read a few times that people have gotten a bad one or two out of 16). If you have the money for them Morel makes a nice lifter. Stay away from Comp Cams(that's what my cam grinder told me).

Trick flow stage 1 cam, trick flow fast as cast heads, supercharger, stock 5.0 block

If you're getting a brand new cam, new push rods and new roller rockers then why put old used lifters right in the middle of it all? I went with FRPP, haven't ran the engine yet though.

Recommendations for lifter size?
Should be a standard size lifter . I have the regular frpp deals in my motor and no issues . I bought them when I did my stock block build and never had an issue so I reused them .
