My 89 5.0 Very Build

well the e7 heads are free I have the bits to do the port work. I have a local u pull it for gt40 heads for 100 bucks but every time I have been they are either cracked real bad or already taken off. my local machine shop would charge 550 for a complete redo new springs valve job checking for straightness and cleaning. e7 heads ported with my gt40 ported intake and a decent cam is my new goal

You are crazy to spend that much for E7's and will be very dissapointed when they make 20hp. Save up and get a set of TW or AFR heads.

Your money, your car.
Here I go assuming but I think he's saying the GT40's would be about $100 PLUS $550 to clean them up and get them ready for install. The E7's are free and he will do the porting. Carry on.

It's Saturday and it's time to carry on with some

Agreed. Buy some used trick flows. Just port matching/cleaning up stock heads isn't going to do it(maybe 20hp). If you're going full tilt and really know what you're doing and buying quality valvetrain you're still into the price range of some used heads(or more). Heck wait until thanksgiving time frame and summit usually has the new ones on sale. I did last year and saved over 250$(including rockers which were basically free after discount)

since the holidays are done now time for an update. purchased a different block and got all forged internals also got gt40p heads with trick flow springs. also got a pro m velocity 95mm maf from an 03 cobra for 60lb injectors the motor is ready to go back together and be swapped out and ready for tuning

I'm not trying to be negative. Just trying to inform. Forged internals are nearly useless in a stock block. The block will crack well before even a stock cast crank will break. Now if the goal is to eventually put that assembly into an aftermarket block...just be careful with any poweradder beforehand. I hope you're adding some forced induction to those inj/MAF combo. If you plan on running it n/a you're going to have issues. What is the build plan? Intended use of car?

Agreed....

I have heavily ported gt40s, cam, headers blah blah blah, 8.5psi positive displacement supercharged. 47lb injectors. At redline in full boost I am using 52% duty cycle.... can't imagine trying to tune the idle with 60lbers....

In your first post you say this is your daily driver.
I'd seriously suggest you take these guys advice and back the injectors off.
Honestly, i'd probably just run the stock injectors with the stock meter or a 75 pro m for 19's.
At best a 75mm pro m and 24's.
60's and a cobra meter will be making an expensive mess out of something very simple.

Who is tuning the car? That maf will need a pigtail spliced into your harness and the car won't run until it is tuned. The maf transfer function is in the ecu, not the maf. Soooo who is doing the tuning?

Hmm now you have me wondering... what ecu are you running? I can give you advice based on that rather than guessing. Tuning in a lmaf or cobra maf is difficult as it requires complete rewrite of the maf function, most tuners will get frustrated and get it "close". a good tuner 100$ an hour. Food for thought.

Sell the cobra meter and buy a 75mm pro m bullet. In 30 minutes your car will be up and running for free.
If it's really an 03 cobra pro m (which I didn't even know existed), you may even make money.

wait- you have a ford racing aftermarket block? R302? If so, those gt40P heads are a major choke point. I wouldn't be putting cast iron p heads on a built aftermarket short block.

What cam? What are the specs on the block, internals?

Also as others have said, the MAF and injectors are wrong for your setup. You said you have 60 lb injectors but then said 24lb? 24lb are not enough and 60 are way too much. Who is picking out these parts for you?

This is spiraling out of control real quick LOL . Feel like i am watching myself. Why not post a detailed current parts list so we can help out and maybe pitch in some suggestions.
