Car is a 94 mustang gt with AODE trans.
Drove the car for roughly 2 hours straight. Stopped to get gas and car would not start after. Nothing no turn over nothing. Battery power was still to the car.
I cycled through the gears on the auto shifter a couple times and I finally got it to start in neutral.
The car has never done this before. The MLPS was replaced when I had the trans rebuilt by a reputable shop. Roughly 5K miles ago.
Any ideas what it could be?
All ignition parts are new, battery plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Could my car just of gotten hot and wanted to cool down? Would that cause this? All input appreciated.

All work professionally done. Cobra heads/intake BBK 70mm TB & CAI. BBK Shorty headers, o/r x-pipe borla catback. AODE with heavy duty internals built & converted to 470RW with shift kit, trans cooler and Stock Replacement Torque Converter.
Custom Car audio system (Professionally installed) as well

Thank you. I pulled the code(s)...The only code I get is from my EGR valve delete... My car only did this once. It did not do it again which is the weird part about it. However I don't want to dismiss it as nothing.

And this is probably why reman units have PIP failures that were not diagnosed.

I know this is an old post, but I am adding to this only for informative purposes!

Car was doing the whole would not start after a long drive thing because a tiny piece of metal was stuck in the gear selector range of my car! This was due to the shop who rebuilt my AODE missed it. Eventually My car was STUCK in second gear and when I took it back in for warranty work they found the small piece of metal lodged up in there. Haven't had an issue since and I took care of this 3 weeks ago. Hope this helps troubleshoot someone else's issue.
