Stock car doesn't need a 180 t stat it may run too cool with it actually . If blower is an idea then I'd do it . Like hoopty said check the ground . And also that the t stat isn't in backwards . That will cause it too

Really backwards ? Is that possible...lol.that would cause it to heat up while driving but go down idling.?. yes I'm going to put a blower on it just a 5-6 psi kit..not looking to break any records..

First motor I ever bought. Intake was on it already . Used to get on the highway and run hot get off and cool . Sure enough someone said make sure the T stat isn't backward . And it was

Thats my thought im wondering if the Radiator is partial clogged I want to install a new aluminum radiator..i need to do a new AC condenser Anyways...it has a leak..Im looking into the SVT radiator..they look decent anyone have one? How are they?

If your radiator was clogged up, wouldn't it be hot all the time? I have a Champion 2-core radiator on mine. It was cheap and works really well.

Im thinking partial clogged thats why i think it gets hot when driving...cant keep up with circulation...But when i come to a stop it cools back down...I could be wrong...unless the water pump is no good...or the wrong one?

Definitely all possibilities. Check everything. The good thing about a cooling system is none of the parts are really expensive, so it makes sense to replace anything that is remotely suspect.

From experience... You HAVE to burp the system. I really like the thermostat housing with the burp hole. I used an old temp Guage sending unit with the head cut off and hollowed out with a hose clamped to a bucket. Works burping the system super simple
