Build Thread 84ttop: I Suck At Updating This Thread...

Is the Gila Monster "Insta-Famous" yet? It's all the rage these days...those instagrams

On a side note, we are pouring concrete in the new shop tomorrow. We spread 80 tons of DGA yesterday and compacted it all. The block work for the dyno pit is finished and we will be tidying up a few loose ends today (while it rains its butt off) to be ready for tomorrow
What I got out of this is it will be raining in Staten Island in about an hour and 20 mins and the bad ass dyno will be ready for me soon [emoji41]

We have concrete.... I'm sure you guys aren't as excited as I am about this but what the hell :)

I'm looking forward to a few days off this weekend to do some work on the new shop!

Man if you were close I could have gotten you a deal for the materials/concrete. I work in the field. Maybe for some "dyno time" trade lol. Well I can daydream. Looking good btw.

No rebar??
There is rebar in the base of the dyno pit as well as the dyno pit walls, the floor is 4,000 psi fiber mesh 4" thick. The floor doesn't require rebar, I will say that the haunch footings for the 2 lifts are 12" deep and have pins and rebar in them.
The front apron on the building will get pinned to this slab as well, we are probably going to pour the apron next monday or tuesday

Bartering makes the world go round! The concrete labor is being bartered off actually, the concrete guy owns a small hunting club and I just put a small septic field in for him in exchange for some of the concrete work :)

@TOOLOW91 got a good kick out of this one the other day... The reason for the new shop is that I'm absolutely out of space to work on anything. I've been puttering around with the 84 in my trailer, for that matter it's still strapped down in there and partially apart.
