Progress Thread My Kenne Bell Twin Screw'd Foxbody thread, (new addition to the family)

So over the weekend I finished up removing most everything required from the Fox to start working on brake lines and test fitting the IRS sub frame. IRS is completely disassembled now as well. I will drop the diff off at a local speed shop and have them install 3.73's. I have decided that all bushings for the IRS will be upgraded to PU, no derlin. While I'm waiting on the diff and lots of parts from LMR and Maximum Motorsports I can test fit the sub frame, clean up some parts, and maybe start working on assembling my MM coil overs and doing my brake swap up front. My tires I ordered are in and now I'm just waiting on my rims to show up maybe by this weekend or mid next week.

Can't have progress with out pics.

Check out my build thread. I posted a few more pictures there. The connections are not done yet though. I forgot to get adapter fittings. Here are all the parts you'll need to make it work:

WH 1442 - M10x1.0 to 3/8-24 adapters (to connect hard lines to soft lines - two needed)
WH 702X3 - Three way 3/8-24 Tee fitting
BK 8131204 - 20" pre-fabbed 3/16" hard line with 3/8-24 fittings
BK 8131205 - 30" pre-fabbed 3/16" hard line with 3/8-24 fittings

The part numbers are from Napa. The adapters might be special order. My local Napa has to order them for me.
The first two part numbers are obvious for quantity but how many do you need of the BK 8131204 and BK 8131205 brake lines? One is 20" and the other is 30", is that correct?

I have done three IRS conversions for my cars and a few for customers. With new harder bushings I can see how widening the torque boxes could help. Great project man. Looks like its coming together well.

Just FYI I never dropped a tank to do the swap. I'm sure you've read the threads about people not being able to get to the strap bolts...it can be a PITA. Like widening the boxes...it can't hurt but it makes you spend more time cussing.

Thanks for that shot @RacEoHolic330 . Now I'm off again to dig through your thread to find your exhaust setup. IIRC you had Fox style LX tips that you polished to a mirror. Other exhaust setups for the 99-04 Cobra have a shorter polished tip that turns to the regular exhaust pipe and doesn't look as clean. I have spent a few hours lately in your thread, you really need an index!! :D

I believe I used Magnaflow tips with the Magnaflow catback. I had to make some modifications to the tailpipes to make everything fit the way I wanted.

And yes. I really do need to index. That will take quite some time though!

Found them. Started at page 80 and went backward till I landed on them at page 55. Then I thought, wait, didn't he polish them? Went back to page 80 and found polished exhaust on page 102. I think my internet surfing is done for the day

Picked up my new BFG G-gorce tires today. 235/40/18 for the front and 245/40/18 for the rear.

Old vs new, Nitto 555 on the left which is a 275 wide tire and the new BFG 245 wide tire on the right which is not mounted or inflated yet. Not a big difference in width so I'm happy to not be sacrificing much tire in the rear.

I got all my IRS subframe rubber bushings removed and about to install the MM bushing kit. After all the hustle of removing the rubber subframe bushing I decided to outsource the control arms. It's a lot of frickin work!! Sears auto center has always been good to me when I need stuff pressed in or their heavy duty spring compressor for my F-150 springs so I decided to let them tackle it for me. For all 8 bushings pressed out and the new MM bushings and sleeves pressed back in it cost me $115 and freed me up to work a fair amount of OT which means I made a lot more than I spent and progress on the IRS rebuild was still made. Win win. Unfortunately I still haven't received my rims yet. Maybe still another week out.

Awesome, maybe I missed it earlier but did you say which wheels you went with and ordered?

I was researching brake booster and MC combo's for the Cobra 13" fronts and 11.65" rear setup and I was thinking that the 93' Cobra booster and 93' Cobra MC (1" bore) was the right way to go.

I then checked out LMR for their SN95 SVE style Cobra knock off kit and they sell that kit without the booster, only a 93 Cobra MC upgrade and they said it works just fine. Any thoughts? Stock 90' booster with 93' Cobra MC operating the 04' style brake system? The LMR kit has good reviews

I don't want to go through the headache of replacing a brake booster if it's really not needed.

@Mustang5L5 thoughts?
