For an application that still uses the stock computer, a MAF is definitely the way to go. No doubt about that.I don't mean to derail the thread here, but why was that such a good thing? I feel like most people prefer switching to MAF. I only ask because my car is currently SD and I was contemplating switching to MAF at some point in the future. I guess SD might be simpler from a tuning perspective, but I don't know what other benefits you guys see. Feel free to PM me instead if you prefer not having this discussion here.

Once you make the move to an aftermarket ECU, speed density is just an overall better way to tune. You tune based off rpm and manifold pressure. It eliminates a lot of the problems and variables that can be introduced when you have the MAF measuring the amount of air entering the engine.
