I'm trying to decipher if I have stock or possibly upgraded stuff here.

I recently picked up a set of GT40 and GT40P heads in a trade. The valve springs and retainers look very different. The retainers on the P heads are a bearing style (the bearing rotates concentric to the valve. While the ones on the GT40's are just a stamled piece of steel or possibly machined...?

The GT40P springs look to be stock, nothing special. But the ones on the GT40's have another spring inside of the main spring. But it isn't round, it's flat. Is this a stock Cobra valve spring?

Also, I want to measure the valves and deck height to see if either have been machined. Where can I get the stock specs on this to compare to...?

Answered the valve dimensions question.

From Five.Oh info:

"Both have 1.84" intake valves, but the GT40 has a 1.54" exhaust valve whilst the GT40P cylinder heads have a slightly smaller one, at 1.46"."

I'm thinking the springs/retainers I have are Alexparts.com products.

Anyone here know how I can identify this for sure?

This is the gt40 head with possible Alexparts.com spring kit....
