Hell
Ive had my super nice 94 GT convertible on CL. 54,000 miles, bone stock, no issues.

Heres the responses I get:

1. Trade a 2003 V6 Mustang, miles unknown, odo broke, really nice for being 13 years old, says the owner.
2. Trade a 2008 Ranger, 100k+ mileage.
3. $500 down, $25 a week.
4. 1985 El Camino, new paint, runs "ok", he will throw in a grill if the Mustang is nice enough.
5. My Favorite: My car + $3000 for a 65 K-Code fastback, original engine and transmission, floor boards and frame rails rusty, the roof was cut off and sold for a coupe to 2+2 conversion, but can easily be replaced. I have to bring a flatbed and fork lift to load the Mustang. He is willing to make the deal now, but the field is to muddy to get his Mustang out. No checks, cash only. No title on his car.

WTH is wrong with people?

I don't mean to laugh, but jeez those responses are funny. People, in general, except on SN, are idiots.

Makes life a lot easier when you accept this fact. It really makes it easier to explain to them just exactly how they can go f themselves.

Last time I tried to sell a car on CL I had to deal with the same crap. I was selling my '76 Mustang II that I'd half-disassembled for $400... had idiots wanting to make payments, had lowball offers so low that I'd have gotten more scrapping it, had ridiculous trades offered (including a goat).

I sold it to a wrecking yard for $275 after a month of CL.

Did you at least ask what kind of grill? It might have been a Weber and possibly the stainless steel one....

Naw man you're thinking small.

A goat for a mustang II, sweet deal man, I'd have taken it!

Craiglist always brings out the geniuses. Lowballers, people calling asking questions that are plainly answered in the ad. People who obviously speak English as their only language, but still won't speak where you can understand what in the cat hair they are saying... Ridiculous trades as mentioned.

I was selling a roller car once- the one I should have kept for my son before his project we did. A lady called speaking broken english wanting to test drive it..lol. When she finally understood it had no engine in it, she got mad at me for trying to rip her off. *sigh*

I buy and sell cars on the list about every 6 months and you'd be surprised by the responses I get. If I get a person that has anything remotely close to what I want I sell. If not, it would be just a headache! I may throw the mustang on there for a ridiculous amount to see what responses I get!!!
