Hello everyone,

Hopefully someone here can give me some advice, I'm trying to do some maintenance things to a 2003 V6, has ~162k miles on it, to get it ready for sale.

First, the turn signals and hazard lights all kind of act up in the same way - they will turn on, blink 1-2 times, and then just holds lit until I turn it off. Sometimes it seems like they'll go for 10 or so, but then they always end up back at the same constant. So, I checked all of the fuses that appeared to be related to this (namely 1, 7, 13, 18, 28, 29) and all were okay. I've done some searching, and it sounds like it may be the flasher, but I've seen people on those posts say that their hazards work fine - but mine don't, does it still seem like this would be the Flasher Module?

Secondly, it is throwing 2 engine codes, P0133 (Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 Sensor), and P1131 (HO2S Signal Low Input) my understanding is that I need to replace the O2 sensor, bank 1 meaning the passenger side of the car, and sensor 1 meaning pre-cat... Well, I have located that O2 sensor, and feel like there is no feasible way of changing that from above or below... any advice on how to reach that damn sensor, and even worse, the connector? Or is there possibly something else throwing the code?

And my final question is that it appears to have an oil leak. I have attached a couple of pictures here of where it seems like the oil is coming from. What would be the process for fixing this leak? I don't want to get super deep into fixing the leak to sell the car, since it is, at this point, a 13 year old car and I think most people know that may come with the territory, but idk, if I can apply some RTV or something to this area would that work?

Sorry for the long post, thanks for any help!

My guess would be the flasher module, I believe there is 2. One for flashers and one for hazards, i might be wrong though.

Jack the car up, o2 sensor is easy to get too, you'll need a 7/8 wrench.

And last but not least, that is the dreaded rear main seal. You have to take the tranny off to get to it, it is a small circle rubber gasket that goes on the crank. 10$ piece and an days full of work with some jacks and a jack stand.

Good afternoon, I too have had an issue with the signal/flasher deal., come to find out that if you remove the steering column cover and look atop of the steering column there's the main connector to the signal changer and emergency flasher button. Firstly check to see if the connecting part of the harness is good and not loose then secondly; if you can not see anything visually out of place test the signal switch to see if it heats up or dont quite feel a small click in there.
What happened with my car was the switch it's self that gave out from flashing the high beams and signaling too much. Hopefully this will work for you.
For the O2 sensor you are going to have to get to it from the bottom of the car and be in an uncomfortable position to make the stretch to the harness plug. If you were doing top end work then you'll be less pressed getting it from the top. Having a sensor wrench is where it makes your day faster.. Slide through and turn..
The oil leak.., alot of manual trannys tend to leak just in front of the transmission just behind the motor, a lot of the time it'll be a worn out pilot bearing that was never replaced during the last clutch job, then secondly you have the rear main seal, which is essentially a piece of plastic witha spring wrapped around it. Those 2 must be replaced and they both cost under $15.00 each but the time involved is where shops get you. Yes the transmission has to be dropped for this job.
