Or you could look at what @Bullitt347 posted.

Hoods and roofs can be a bit*h, no doubt. Sorry it's such a pita for you buddy.

I can only use my power sparingly. I'm betting a mini.

I really like mini coopers, especially after having to work on so many of those little sht fiats.

I've only known two minis. Both owners had blue hell with them. Owner #1 bought an extended warranty after the first ran out. Apparently, they'll let you renew the warranty after the extended lapses. (Didn't know that) well, he tried to do just that, but was denied due to all of the previous claims he made. It was always broken. He cashed out and bought his daughter a focus and lived happily ever after. Owner#2 just lost his ass.

It depends what year. It seems as thought the minis that were supercharged had all kinds of problems. The turbocharged models weren't as problematic. I have had a lot of issues with my 335. Won't buy another Bimmer as long as I live, just my .02

Oooo man don't say that too loud around Mad Mike.. He's sensitive.

I know a guy that had a 335 and loved it. I wanted one really bad for a long time, but the new mustang is a lit of bang for the buck. You won't believe the handling until you drive one.

I regret buying my 335. With all the money that went into the car I could have bought a new Ducati...

Pfft. Go drive a new gt. I've literally stuffed it into 90* corners at intersections trying to make it understeer and I haven't gotten it to push yet. Really fast into them. It's not as fast (straight line)as my turbo fox, but I am delighted with it as a road car. Bitchin chassis. Zero complaints. And the brembo brakes are just astounding.

I wish I could buy a new Mustang, but I live in Chicago so it would not be wise to own a RWD car. Gotta have AWD for my daily. The 92 stang for me is a toy.

Just buy a glass hood and be done with it:O_o:

Is this not the second hood?

Yes,...but the first hood was perfect before I F'd it up. The second hood was bad before I got to it, I just made it worse.

I've sent them an email.

No,...maybe,..thanks,...37 now,

As much as I would like to,take credit for that....I googled 78 Fairmont fiberglass hood and that was the first or second thing up. I spent all of 2.5 seconds finding that lol.

I just figured that all of the stuff out there would be just as bad if not worse w/ regard to fitment.

Ok this is where the G hood is as of now.

When I cut out the bad junk, the hood sheet metal relaxed. Right now, the last hurrah is gonna happen Sunday. I'll patch the holes,..and hope that I can keep the welding warpage contained. If this ends up being yet another folly I guess I look into the FG hood. I won't run a cowl hood so the Fiberglass trends hood is out. The first glass company make a hood w/ a 79 Cobra style scoop integrated into it and that would be my choice. I've contacted them to see if they can give me an idea of fitment.

I can totally see you adding vents there like you did by the cowling and on your trunk lid

So then,....what happens on Monday then...

Monday is mini Monday.

I've been going over what I want for my daily driver for about a month now. While the BMW M 235 would've been my absolute choice, the fact of the matter is the Monster is my hotrod. Having another as a daily was just a waste of finances.
The difference between those "finances" amounted to 160 more dollars per month to drive the BMW.
311/471.

However, the mini that comes on Monday is no slouch either. The one that is coming has a performance tune that ups the 4 cyl's power to 205hp. It's red w/ a black roof, and has a black leather interior. I'm an automatic guy, so commensurately, it has the 6 speed steptronic auto. Part of the tune has a muffler w/ a servo actuated flap that I can push a button on a remote and open it to evidently free up the flow?.....I'm betting it'll sound like ass.

I'll use it all the time.

So,....everytime you see a mini, know that I'm out there driving one of the same. For all practical purposes, it is a BMW excepting that the car is assembled in England.

All I'm sayin... is that I hope you get G hood v.2 sorted out so I dont have to give you all the s hit back that you have me about cutting up a stock hood and not finishing it.
