In Need Of Compatable 4.6 For My 96 T-bird Help!!!!!

My t-bird street car/daily driver that I installed a 96 Stang GT 4.6 is in desperate need of rebuild sticky valves, knockin sound when it first starts and sometimes in between shifts, the bird was born a 4.6.Looking for info for what years of 4.6 cars/trucks will drop down in till the Stang engine is rebuilt. Might take a while family comes first. Thanks for your info and help... DAN

You should be able to drop any 4.6 into it if I'm not mistaken. But the closest motor to yours would be 96-98 mustangs with the NPI heads. But like I said any 4.6 should directly bolt in. Good luck

Has to worry about six bolt or seven bolt crankshafts. I remember there being some difference in the heads between Romeo and Windsor 4.6s too, but I just got off from an 11-hour shift working on BMWs, Nissans, and Hyundais all night so my brain's kinda scrambled right now while I sit in the truck and eat breakfast before driving the last 20 miles home... Anddddd I'm rambling... crap.
