High guys I know I'm probably asking a question that's already has been asked but I'm at wits end I have a 65 that I've converted to efi what I did is it took the power plant from a 87 crown vic and stuck it in my 65 the problem is it runs very rich I've put a new fuel pump presure regulator map sensor o2s and temp sensor the engine is a 89 mustang gt 302 roller with everything from the crown vic wiring pcm and I have a fuel tank that except the 89 ford fuel pump I am lost on what to do next the only think I haven't done is retrieve the codes yet cuss I don't have a code reader

Ok since no one replied to my first question I'm hoping maybe you will to this one ok the pcm and intake and wiring is all from I believe a 87 crown vic but the long block is 89 gt ho so could it be a bigger cam that the pcm has a problem with like everyone say speed density doesn't like

I would start by pulling your codes, Code readers are cheap now days or check with Autozone and their free loan a tool program? I'm thinking your going to have to reprogram the PCM due to the difference between the crown vic and the GT settings. I've never done this swap so I'm just thinking out loud what I would think to be the problem.

Are you running the same trans as the crown Vic? And also didn't they change firing orders? I haven't worked on the HO's so I could be wrong, but both those things could cause an issue. Is it starting up at all? What are the issues?

The Crown Vic has smaller injectors, a milder cam, heads that don't flow as well, and most importantly, a different firing order than a Mustang. You will need to accommodate those differences in a speed-density system.
