I have a 2001 Mustang 3.8. I recently installed Shorty Headers with Flow Masters and a Cold Air Intake as well. About 2 weeks after, my "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I had it reset. Code showed O2 sensors. Went a couple of more weeks and then on it came again. I've been through this for a while now. Whenever the light comes on, I can tell there is a slight loss in power. My question is; will changing my O2 sensors fix this or is there another remedy? Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is likely a placebo effect. The front o2 sensors do engine management and the rear o2 sensors are only for catylist efficieny check.

If the error is occurring in the fronts, they might have gone bad but if the error is from the rears, you more than likely have a catalytic issue.

Did you new exhaust eliminate the cats?

If you have no cats you need to install MIL Eliminators for the rear o2 sensors or they will always read wrong from here on out and will always throw a code. This isn't smog legal in most states but it will get rid of the code. This shouldn't cause any performance issues once installed.
