R/R Brake Squeaks Until Brakes Are Applied

Hey Black99SVT, did you ever fix this issue? I'm actually having a nearly identical issue with my GT as well. This past year as I have started to drive with the windows down again, I noticed the same "squeak, squeak, squeak" varying with speed. I've got no idea how long it's been doing this...

    Audio ?- Options for ipod

I have an iPod interface in my 2002. I think it's made by a company called P.I.E. when I was looking at it the instructions said that your stereo needs to be able to control an external cd changer. In order to tell this I believe they said you just hit the cd button a second time and it was...

    Clutch Engagement Point Is Varying

Weird, mine does the same thing every once in awhile. Doing the clutch adjustment procedure doesnt change it either when it's happening. It just seems to go away on it's own. Haven't had that happen in a while though...

    Sparkplug issues

Check to make sure there isnt any debris in the cylinder that is down by the head of the sparkplug. I had a similar issue once and a little stone had fallen down in there keeping the socket from fully seating on the plug. If there is something in there you can blow it off with a little...

REAR END NOISE 2004 Mach 1

I agree, it sounds like the clutches in the limited slip. I dont think you should be paying for it, I noticed that when mine had the same issue it wouldnt start unless the rear end was sufficiently warmed up as well. It sounds like they sold it to you with this problem. Good luck getting it...

New member, scared of a problem on a mustang I just bought yesterday.

I would think the only way that your car would be doing a burnout in the driveway with your foot on the brake would be if you suddenly let off the clutch while the engine is running. If your foot was holding the clutch pedal down the rear wheels shouldnt even be connected to the engine. If you...

    Rear end noise

I had a similar issue on my GT. It sounded like dying baby seal inside the car as i was taking a sharp slow corner. If your V-6 has a limited slip diff in it, then it is possible that the noise is coming from the clutch packs in the diff. I tried replacing the gear oil at first and it didnt...

    All Seasons...really?

I think plenty of people have already said changing the tires does make a significant difference. I have driven my 02 GT in Buffalo winters for several years without incident. Granted it's maximum horsepower is nowhere near the level of these newer vehicles but these cars do not make 412...

    New Mach 1 seats

I noticed that in the pictures his car has the upgraded headrests. Is there any plan to offer foam/upholstery for those along with the kits? I always thought that the stock small headrests looked ridiculous and were basically useless (so I would love to upgrade them). Plus I think the larger...

Another Mach 460 Q: Any way to splice in an ipod jack?

I hate to bump an old thread but i am sure others are curious about this... I recently purchased the FRDN/pc-pod2. It's made by the same manufacturer as the FRDN-AUX unit above but works like the Ipod interface in the video. I installed it this weekend and it works great (I dont have the...

    GT In snow?

I live in Buffalo and have driven a GT in the winters here for the past 4 years or so. I have a dedicated set of snow tires on a pair of steel 16" rims. I have never gotten stuck, and frequently pass Jeeps and other 4WD vehicles stuck in a ditch. It takes time to develop the feel for it but...

    I think I threw a rod..

Check the torque on your sparkplugs. Sometimes before they blow out you will hear quite a bit of extra noise coming from the engine.

    Rear axle cover

There is actually a bolt and a bearing underneath the cover in the front. On the rear the bearing is inside the axle tube so it doesnt need any kind of cap.

    Tire Pressure Sensors for 2010

If you are asking about how wide for the blizzak rims, go with the narrowest possible. Trying to drive wide tires (even blizzaks) through snow sucks. They tend to plow through snow instead of turning.

    Weird starting behavior

I think its a fairly common problem. I think people tend to see it more often when the engine is hot. Mine does the same thing and as of yet i haven't heard anyone give an actual cause/solution to the problem. I live with it, but it can be kind of embarassing sometimes.

    Chevy, gimme a break.

Don't forget that the Camaros with the automatic transmissions only have a 400 hp engine. Not sure what the mix of autos to manuals is but something to keep in mind.

Coolant Problem - Coolant Level Rising

Gonna have to agree with everyone else and say it's probably a head gasket. I had a 94 3.8 that would rapidly overheat and then suddenly return to normal operating temperature. It would also occasionally overflow the coolant resevoir. Tore the top of the engine apart and both head gaskets were...

    Buying tires

You worked at a tire shop and are recommending someone overinflates their tires by 10 psi? When you over/under inflate a tire significantly you change the contact pattern and alter a tires handling and wear characteristics. Your car has a recommended tire pressure for a reason...

    Canadians, 2010 mustang options

I think in the US if you have a leather interior its a GT premium. It looks like you can only get cloth on the regular model. Wonder why they dont have the same trim level names in CA.
