    Roush Cai On A 2013

What kind of mpg should one get with a Roush CAI? I just got a 2013 GT with a Roush CAI installed on it. 6-speed manual and 3.31 gears. I was getting 19mpg out of my 2011 GT with 6-speed/3.55 gears, SR Performance CAI, Boss 302 intake manifold, and off-road H pipe. The computer on the 2013...

    Steering Gear And Rims

Looking to move my 19" Boss 302S rims over to a 2013 GT Premium that currently has 18" rims on it. Is the steering gear different on 18"-rim car/does it have different size stoppers to keep the rims from rubbing at full left or right turn extension?

    S197(2) Steering Racks And Rims

As some of you know, I wrecked my '11 GT. I now have a '13 GT and want to transfer everything from the '11 to it. This '13 has 18" rims on it (someone put older SVT rims on it with 235 pizza cutters). I want to transfer the 19" rims over. Will the 19" rims work with the steering gear on an 18"...

Wheels-Tires 11' Gt Wont Hook Up To Save Its Life

Sidewall thickness is a major player. I had Michelin SuperSport 305/35s on the rear and they didn't get traction on the street for :poo:. My Continental DWS 275/40s work just fine, though....

    Death Of The Black Buggy

I've had a tragedy in my life. The Black Buggy was totaled Friday morning. Investigation is still under way as to what happened/why, so I can't say much about the details although you can tell from the damage to my vehicle that the mass and speed of the truck was likely a factor (police report...

    Coyote Ing Curve

I do agree traction control is likely the culprit. I guess I am confused why there is a thread if it is that obvious.

    Coyote Ing Curve

You should do a 1/4 mile run or more so that you can see what gears 4, 5, and 6 ignition look like. Is this in place or on a dyno? I only ask because running full speed at 1/4 mile or more can get pretty dangerous and illegal on the open road. Getting on a dyno and pulling this data would be a...

    Brembo Breaks 2014 5.0

Another thing to think about: even if the rotors are the same size (which I don't think they are), standard and premium GT rims have too much material on the inside of the rim spokes and will not clear the bigger brakes. You will need rims that clear the calipers as they turn. Rims with greater...

    Coyote Ing Curve

First question any time someone submits a chart without axes and data labeled: "What are we looking at?" What is the X axis, what is the Y axis, what is red line, what is blue line?

    Why 215mm Width???

Economy. If Ford can save money putting smaller, more affordable tires on at the factory, they will. I have noticed Ford is big on skimping on rubber products like tires and bushings. They must have done a study that told them cheaper materials have same performance as more expensive materials...

Looking for a pretentious hat to wear while driving my cabriolet

When being tailgated by one of the plebs in one of their "utility" vehicles, there is nothing more satisfying than cranking up the Shaker 1000 system and driving slow to something with lots of frequencies below the 50 Hz level. 2Pac or Pitbull is recommended. It tells them "I am having a great...

    Tires

And don't get suckered into putting wide, low-profile tires on your car in the hopes of getting better traction. Moving from a 245/45/19 to a 255/40/19 on my stock rims did nothing for traction. Just cost me more money. Sidewall AND width is where it's at... that's why you see the guys at the...

    Tires

Depends on your rim width and diameter. Tirerack.com has a list. For example: on a 9.5/10" rim, widest safe width is 305. Being stock, I am guessing you have 8" or 9"...which puts you in 255/285 territory. You need to know exact width of your rims and check spec.

    Rough Idle

Vacuum leak, fuel injection, or spark problem. Under open throttle, it's not an issue because you are flooding the engine with vast amounts of whatever it is you need. At idle, firing is more picky and if any fuel, air, or spark are insufficient, combustion will fail. Could even be sensor...

Buying Advice - What Year/models Are Best?

Agreed. I used to own a Nissan Altima SE-R 6-speed. Thought I wanted a Nissan 370Z until I test drove it. I felt like I was drive a tiny, RWD version of the Altima. I also recommend V8. The price difference on a used car should be pretty minor at this point.

    Stuck Oil Life Indicator

Have you used a tuner from BAMA/SCT, etc. ? I believe aftermarket tuners have been known to cause the oil life indicator to stay at 100%. Just have to use the old sticker/monitor method.

Buying Advice - What Year/models Are Best?

If you aren't concerned with performance, a Toyota/Scion/Subaru BRZ or FRS is a better bet and value.

    Clunk Noise When Hitting Bumps

I forgot about this- very good point. I replaced my rear sway bar bushings after two years because of this. The rubber shrinks up and instead of tightly holding the sway bar, the bar will bounce around the inside of the sway bar control arms when driving over grade changes. I also experienced...

    Thoughts On 2018 Mustang

All in all, most of the changes are to aesthetics. They curved all of the straight cues. The head lamps are totally LED driven, including turn, fog, and high and low beam. Dual clutch. Magnetic suspension. Direct injection, too. But I wouldn't expect too much gain because it would infringe on...
