Don't Look If Your A Ford Fan Only!

I grew up in a junkyard like that. My Grandfather started it back in 1939 and my Dad took it over in '61 (same year I was born). My brother and I had the best playground two boys could ever have. He still owns a junkyard today (they're called auto salvage dealers now  ) I'm in...

    Brakes

I put Granada brakes on my car years ago and when I saw the trouble I was going to have with the brake hoses (no inter-web back then) I picked up a double flare set and made my own hard lines out to where the Granada hose could tie in. It was a simple job after that...

    Ball Joints

Where at on the ball joint are they too small? And I'm having a hard time understanding how 0.001" could affect installation or operation when it comes to a ball joint.

    Tranny Cooler

That will work fine. But I've had mine running straight to the cooler for years with no issues. My thinking was to get all the heat out of the radiator I could.

Electric Fan Vs Clutch Fan Vs Flex Fan On A 68

I have a V-8 in my '66 with an electric fan. Never over heats. I'm just down the road from you in Louisiana, gets hot here too. The 75A alt should be enough to run a fan. But if you also have A/C I would think about getting a higher amp one. I'm running a 100A alt out of a '80-'90's Lincoln...

    Float Detatching On Sending Unit

You could solder the float to the wire. The wire is small and the float is thin so it wouldn't take a high amp solder iron to do it. Tin it first.

    '66 Mustang Quarter Panel Extensions

I float the fender extensions (front & back) into the fender. Use fiber strand bondo to fill the gap first. Before each pass of filler, take them off and clean up the mating surfaces.

Progress Thread Horse Sense - 66 Coupe To Fastback Conversion

I gotta do this to one of the coupes we have. Where are you sourcing all the other FB parts? like glass, interior panels, back seat, etc.

Running Hot Or Is It Normal ?

Sounds like it's doing fine. ...IF it doesn't get any hotter. It's more important that it maintains a steady temp. The 10º difference between driving and standing still seems a little wide though. When you run the A/C things will probably heat up. Have you considered using an electric fan...

Progress Thread Horse Sense - 66 Coupe To Fastback Conversion

Really nice work. My brother & I have several '65-'66's laying around that our Dad hoarded over the years. So far, I'm the only one who has done anything with them. My nephew is really getting enthused since I've got my '66 conv back on the road. I'm trying to convince him convert one of the...
