It may be your driver side door lock button/switch. I think power passes through it to go to the other switch on the other side. Been awhile since I've had to deal with it but a few years back I had to replace my switch. There are ways to test it. I don't know how the power mirror would play...

Can you lower the passenger window from the switch on the driver's side?

I would start by checking the connectors coming off the back of the head unit to see if any are loose or broken. Assuming the volume change happens all through the stereo system.

Btw, when I started racing my 5 speed at the 1/4 mile track I would miss shifts on the (limp wristed) stock shifter because of all the adrenaline I was experiencing. I swapped it out to an MGW short throw shifter. Made all the difference in the world.

Put some winter tires on it and it will be fine for the winter. I have summer Drag Radials and winter Blizzaks that I use. I've been on icy uphill roads and my car performed better than most of the others. And my heater works great so the soft top is not an issue. Colorado baby!

Btw, if you do get a replacement. Be sure that the intake manifold has an aluminum coolant crossover. The plastic ones were known to leak.

It looks like a NPI to me. Two things. The oil cap is on the driver's side on NPI and on passenger side on PI. Also on the intake manifold, the first crossover runner on the front of the engine will start on the drivers side for PI and will start on the passenger side for NPI.
