actually the spider gears break. With the 8.8 you get a bigger diff and gears, and stronger pumpkin. Breaking the gears happens when you begin to flex the pumpkin and put stress on the side of the gears. A girdle would be enough support for most v6's as it keeps the pumpkin from flexing.

nothin wrong with autos. Get a converter, 4.10s and shiftkit and it'll be more fun to drive than any manual.

normal driving like 3k because of the converter. hard driving 6k.
