Check the starter solenoid, and voltage regulator. Did you check the battery? How's the wiring?

I have the ceramic coated Dougs tri y in my for 2 years. They cleared the cable clutch fine and they look brand new still. Love these headers.

I have a pro 5.0 shifter in my 67 coupe. I never had any problems with it. My brothers 66 has a stock shifter and you can tell the difference in how they feel. The main difference is distance between 2nd and 3rd. The Pro 5.0 has a much shorter shift.

I run dougs headers with my cable clutch. I have the Mustang Steve converison. I have no problems at all.

I had the same problem with my header bolts on edelbrock performer heads. I needed longer header bolts. Look at the specification of how long the header bolts can be. I run Thorley headers. I also use grade 8 bolts. Good luck.

I have cragar ss that are 15x7 with 4.125 backspacing. I run a 225/60/15 tire. I have no rubbing issues with my car. The only thing that you are running a wide tire with that backspacing. Fender rolling might help. You can always go get 195/60/15 or even go get some 50 series tires for...
