    H/C/I swap done!!! Tuning next?

AWESOME!! Grady and 94IVGT - thanks for all the info. I've been checking out some posts in the archives and was coming to the conclusion that I'd rather tune it myself. I didn't know about the Tweecer or PMS systems until yesterday! But I've had lots of success tuning carbed setups in the past...

    H/C/I swap done!!! Tuning next?

I went with a new one. I'd spent quite a bit of time searching out info on MAFs, and most of what I found was that MAFs can be hit-and-miss in terms of whether they improved performance or actually made it worse. It also seemed like MAFs from certain makers gave worse results than others. You...

    H/C/I swap done!!! Tuning next?

Ooohhhh....... I hate to even admit this, but: 16 months from start to finish. :jaw: Yep, 16 MONTHS!!!!!! Well.... it's our 3rd car, and it's a vert and we live in the Pacific Northwest, so not much good use anyway for 9 months out of the year. But still..... I was way too busy with a new job to...

    Head casting number F5TE?

OK- I'm in touch with a guy who says he has a set of heads from an '88 stang, but the casting numbers (he claims) are F5TE. Anyone even heard of this casting number in relation to a Ford head? I might be displaying my ignorance here, but I've heard E5AE, E7TE, F1ZE, F3ZE, F77E, etc, but never...

Not your average Subframe Connector Question

I don't know..... personally I looked at the MM design specs and didn't like it, so I ended up fabricating my own and welding them in. Last I checked, the MM SFCs were made with 0.083 in wall thickness square tubing, which seemed a little weak to me. I ended up using 1.5 x 2 inch square tubing...

Does anybody make longtube headers for our cars besides BBK?

Can you explain what you mean? Are you talking about opening the header ports up some? I don't mean to be a nitwit:bang: Matt

Does anybody make longtube headers for our cars besides BBK?

this is good to know, 'cause from your sig I see you've got the AFR's. I'm in the process of doing an H/C/I with AFR's and I figure while I'm in there I'm gonna put longtubes on too. I presume you went with ceramic coated LTs? Thanks Grady! Matt

Does anybody make longtube headers for our cars besides BBK?

:Damnit: Hooker used to make longtubes for the 94/95's but it seems like they've been discontinued. Is there any other company that makes longtubes for our cars, and while we're on the topic - anyone with the BBK's have any input? I've heard mixed opinions about the quality and fitment of BBK...

Anyone running a Comp Cams XE 264 cam?

I'm looking at the one for 1.6 rockers. Thanks for the reply Rick - that setup sounds similar to mine. Actually, it's the wife's car which is why drviability is a primary concern - she doesn't want a real lopey idle. Thanks for the info! Matt

Anyone running a Comp Cams XE 264 cam?

I'm inthe process of doing an HCI combo and am curious if anyone is running the Comp Cams XE 264 HR stick. I like the numbers for my setup (Powerheads and Edlebrock Performer, 24 lb injectors, 75mm TB, 77mm Pro-M mass air, Ford Racing hi-flow shorties, 3.73 gears) but I'm curious to know what...

    k-member brace

Trust me, that front bar is not the one BlackVert and I are talking about. The one bolted under our cars is a four-point brace. There's nothing in that pic that even remotely looks like it. Matt

    k-member brace

You don't have a vert though, do you? Your picture doesn't show the brace we're talking about. That brace you've got on is up there high and tight, whereas the stock unit we're talking about is much lower and bolts to different locations. I don't know if I'm correct, but I think I've heard the...
