~93 Teal Cobra Terminator Swap TVS 2.3 True Forged!~

What a beauty, and what a beast ! And the pictures are utterly amazing (what kind of camera was used ?) I helped my son (67Coupe on here) swap a Termi engine into his 89 LX. Now it really rips ! We have a couple of videos up on YouTube. View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCO_tyW02rA

Slow Starting/cranking Problem Only When Hot

Sounds like one of the first problems I encountered with my car (years ago). Do your wires get hot and smoke ? My problem was a bad ground where the ground wire attached to the engine. It might look good to the naked eye, but if you haven't done it in a while, take the ground wire off and...

My Mustang Has No Power !!!!!

Sounds like you are getting excess fuel and the cat is trying to burn it off, is the car running rich ? Check to make sure your fuel pressure regulator diaphram hasn't ruptured and is sucking gas. Pull the vacuum line off and see if the line is full of fuel.

    Drive Train Vibrations

If your pinion angle is off it could definately cause a vibration. Your u-joints could be stressing as well. I found this thread that might help: http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/fixed-my-vibration-with-changing-pinion-angle.828431/ Edit: That link came from the Classic Mustang...

Thanks man ! Any other thoughts or experiences with this problem ?

    T5 Transmission Whine

Like the title says, it's whining in all five forward gears. I thought it was the rear end, but when I got my son to listen to it while we sat it up on jack stands, it's definately coming from the tranny. The pitch stays pretty constant with road speed (loudest between 25 to 50 mph) no matter...

92 foxbody gt running rich all the time. NO POWER

Lots of good suggestions here but I didn't see this one. Pull the vacuum line off of your FP regulator and see if it has gas in it, also actually run the car and watch for fuel coming out of the vacuum port. If it does the diaphram has ruptured and it's sucking fuel like a drunk sailor. This...

What's the best way to remove pilot bearing?

I tried the grease method, it was way too messy for me, made all of the tools too slippery to work with. Someone suggested bar soap cut into bits and crammed in the hole, and it actually worked for me. Looking back on it, I think it best to just rent/borrow the tool...

    Power steering whine

With our cars it seems like most of the replacement pumps whine, so rebuild the original if you still have it. The friction modifier is used specifcally for the clutch packs in the diff. to eliminate chatter.

    C-Clips Vs. No C-Clips

The NHRA requires C-Clip Eliminators if your car runs the quarter in under 11 seconds: http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/nhra_legal_rules_regulations_time_brackets/ I'm not sure there is a magic HP number. Also if you plan to use your car for some serious corner carving and road courses you...

    Carburetor problem??

Check the float level, might be set too low and could cause fuel starvation. Might even want to pick up some clear float level plugs, but they get mixed reviews by some. http://www.shop.speedunlimited.com/p-2579-moroso-65226-holley-clear-fuel-bowl-sight-plugs.aspx Edit: Keep a fire...

NOOOO Heat After Heater Core Replacement

Sounds like you aren't getting enough water in the system and/or you have huge air bubble (no heat could be a clue for an air bubble). You might want to try a spill free funnel and burp the system while the car is up to temperature and running like in this video: Keep an eye on the temp gauge...

NOOOO Heat After Heater Core Replacement

NOOOO Heat After Heater Core Replacement

You really need that restrictor in the line. At some point Ford started putting them in the hose from the factory to restrict the flow into the heater core to prevent too much pressure under high rpm from damaging the core. Mine didn't have one so I made one myself from teflon. Did you...

NOOOO Heat After Heater Core Replacement

I can't explain the strange action of your temperature selector controlling the air output, but can you tell if the hoses going into and out of the core appear to be hot with the engine at full temp ? If one hose is a good bit cooler it would imply an obstruction. Is it possible your restrictor...
