    Ticking....Gets louder when warm

I know this post is really old but wanted to give my input. I have a 98 3.8 mustang 5speed with every N/A mod you can possibly to. My cam has just under .6/.6 lift and am running harland sharp 1.73's. Every since I did the cam swap (about 4 years ago from present day) I have had the exact same...

    Hesitation at 2200-2500 RPM, HELP!!

Welcome to the club. In my experience with autos, I have yet to find a resonable, honest shop that does NOT try to pry money out of me for no reason.

    I guess I'm done with my 6'er

I got mine from RPM-mustangs.com, but lots of other places do them like supersix motorsports, delk performance, and morana v6 racing.

    97 theft security system

Not sure if there is any info out about the PATS in manual form , but you CAN turn off the pats permanently. You can either have it turned of via xcal 2 (sct) or you can go to the dealer and have them do it for you.

PATS transceiver and control modules HELP!

Not sure if they are even complatible, but you will have to have them both reflashed by the dealer so that they are mated. Where did you get the seperate pieces? The dealer charges around $75 for reflashing your pcm to your PATS.

    Hesitation at 2200-2500 RPM, HELP!!

Doesnt really sound like an exhaust issue. Can you hear any obvious leaks? If you have a timing light, confirm that its within range. Have you done a compression test recently?

    Single Exhaust replacement

+3 Like someone said earlier, even if the flow tube (part before the muffler) is destroyed, they can weld in a new one for a very cheap/afforable price. If its not cheap, go to another shop because you shouldnt have to pay an arm and a leg for this. Good luck! and keep us updated.

    Fuel soaked #1 spark plug

just wanted to update this thread. All problems have been resolved. Found out that my harmonic balancer was seperating and causing the timing marks to be off. ALSO using a noid light found that number 6 injector was not firing. Further investigation proved that the power wire was grounding out...

    My sixer (pics)

Problem with the y pipe is that there is a still a significant restriction in the exhaust. While this backpressure is beneficial on a nearly stock motor, its extremely parasitic to well modified motor that is breathing heavily. (hci, poweradder..etc)
