    Rewiring Help Needed

Hi Jim, I didn't reveal the covering to the fusible link from the alternator to the starter so I can't help there. I did run 1/0 welding wire from the starter to the trunk. I'm not an electrical expert (certified) but I have done a good bit of wiring. To me the wiring appeared to be...

    Rewiring Help Needed

I bought the AAW for my 66 fastback and couldn't be happier. True, you need the special crimper but other than that it went pretty smooth. I thought the instructions were pretty good. I never needed to call their help desk so I can't comment on that. Time was not much of a factor for me as I...

    Is this re-pop madness or?

Wow, that's the exact same thing I'm going through now. I forgot to get the rear valence to the painter while he had the car. So I go to NPD in Ocala to get a valence like the one above among other parts. I did not pre fit it to the car before taking it to the painter and when i tried to fit...

Met the girl of my dreams today

I thought I made a wrong turn and ended up on a Penthouse forum. Sometimes the good looking chicks just dont get asked out because most guys assume she already has a boyfriend. This story needs more updates.

    SE GA/ NE FL??

Sorry for the delay in responding Z06killinsbf. I do have pics but they are not hosted on a site for me to link to. I'm about to finally finish the underside of the 66 fastback as soon I weld in the torque boxes in the front. I'm thinking about putting Line-X or something similar on the bottom.

    what wire for sheet metal?

I have used about 12lbs. of .030 wire on my 66 fastback. A lot of rust repair but i also welded up a lot of areas like around the torque boxes in the rear. It seems to do the job pretty well. Good luck.

I hate spot welds and rust!!!

I am welding in the cowl panel today. I have also repaced the complete firewall and side cowl panels and both floorpans. My firewall panel was also swiss cheese under the export brace. I put jackstands under the front of each rocker panel and the front was held up by a rotisserrie. Nothing...

    Removing Window Glass

I agree with Geostang351, make sure you get a real GOOD look at the cowl from inside the car. If it is ok water could be coming from the windshield gasket leaking, the wiper gaskets leaking or the cowl. Don't want to get you down but it's probably the cowl leaking somewhere.

    Body dipping

I'd like to have my car either soda blasted or sand blasted but can't find anybody to do it in my area, Jax.,FL. I would prefer soda just because it will clean up easier but either way would make me happy. I wonder if I could buy the soda blasting media somewhere and do it myself but dont...

The Reenmachine DOHC '67 Shelby Clone Convertible Progress

I really like following this thread. It's nice to see a new angle on modifying these old mustangs. Reen, are you planning on installing a cold air intake? I just thought it would look better than the stock black intake tube. Regardless, its a great looking project.

    Cobra IRS?

I saw th Blue Moon setup at the Silver Springs show in January. It looked pretty cool, pricey, but cool. There seem to be more IRS setups than I realized. Great project idea for someday.

    66 sedan delivery?

B.S on the ebay history part. There was one of those at the Silver Springs show this year. The guy didn't have a motor in it but it lookd pretty cool. There is a pic of it in one the past few months of Mustangs & Fords that has the Silver Springs story in it.

B-J Sells First GT 500E Convertible for $550,800!!!!!

I saw this car at the Amelia Island concours show(northeast fla.) a few weeks before the barrett jackson show in west palm. It is a very nice car. The attention to detail was excellent and I even got a few ideas for my resto. Having said all that, I thought I was going to lose my lunch when...

Cable Clutch Kits for T-5: Mustang Steve, Ron Morris, or Modern Driveline?

Yes, Mustang Steve's setup uses a stock 5.0 cable. I think I am going to go this route as well. Ball bearing pedal support and all.

Might as well start a thread - Maybe trading the 65 for a Contemporary Classic cobra

I for one like the coupe more. Not to take anything from the cobra (and i have driven one). I saw your coupe on here a few weeks ago and i was thinking about selling my 65 coupe but I decided not to sell it after checking yours out. I figured it would cost me more later to get another coupe...

More rearend widths - but different this time (maybe)

I have a rearend out of a 99 GT that I plan on putting in my 66 fastback. Last weekend I put it under the car to see how it would fit and it looked like a good fit. I measured it from the backing plate or dust shield and it measured 57 1/4 inches. The new leaf spring perches need to be 43"...
