    Mustang Il Member Roll Call

Drop in once in a while to see how you guys are doing it these days. My first II turned up a while back for sale, but guy got flaky when I started asking questions and disappeared, so still no II for now....would have thought I'd still have one after so many, but life got in the way.

    Mustang II Member's rides

Well, she's been gone a few years now, but the 'ol white/green CB II turned up on CL a few days ago. I last saw it a couple years after I sold it in somebody's ad on CL for custom paint. Kind of tempted, but seems a bit high pricewise knowing it as well as I do. Some say best to leave the past...

Long time, no see. So who's still around?

Look in once in a while...almost started looking again, then saw what was available and the OMG prices for beaters...guess the II days are all in the past now. Trying to figure out what to do with the leftovers.

    Checking in

Wow, there's a couple familiar names! I went way to the dark side...92 Corvette, though we have a 97 GT vert and an Expy at our house. Did see this for sale locally and got me thinking BUT, I sold almost EVERYTHING II related a few years back...just wouldn't be the same starting all...

Do I put anything on the oil pan gasket?

The torque specs refer to the major thread size, not the head (wrench) size. They are 1/4 along the sides, and 5/16 at the corners. Like wart said, a thin layer of grease works very well for holding the gasket in place for installation, yet allows it to remain free to move as necessary for...

Transmission and engine question for 76 cobra 2

If it's a factory V8 car and any of the mounts are still there, it won't be too bad. You'll need an original oil pan for the 302, although I've heard stories of large hammers and pipes being used to "modify" a standard pan. With the original cast exhaust manifolds, any of the small bellhousing...

    95 Gt...couple electrical questions

UPDATE.... After running the testing again, I finally considered that perhaps the solid state compoents were bad. I gambled $15 on a used CCRM from our local Pull a part (knowing that the PO had installed a used one). Seemed to fix it, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks to HISSIN50 for the...

    95 Gt...couple electrical questions

Yes, EGR, and appears to have the original emissions equip intact Looks like about where C109 is, but I don't have a real clear idea at this point. Need to find another 94/95 to see what it looks like.

    95 Gt...couple electrical questions

No, when A/C was turned on, no grounding of the wire occured until I probed it with a test lamp (which then energized the fan). I have yet to attempt unplugging the ECT to see if it fail-safes, but the low fan also does not come on. In fact, grounding 17 first ran low fan, then when A/C was on...

    95 Gt...couple electrical questions

Short back story... Bought this from a guy who bought it to flip and got in over his head. They swapped in a used CCRM to fix the no-start issue, then got overwhelmed. After replacing the harmonic damper, runs pretty good, but no cooling fan. Used the article at 94-95 Mustangs Electrical...

    V8 starters, revisited

Couldn't find solid info on the 75 302, but MVMA specs show a D6EF 11001 AA unit for 76, a D6OF 11001 AA for 77, and a D8OF 11001 AA in 78. Looks like the regular pass car units. Personally, I have used the originals, and the generic Ford units with no problems. The OE unit on the car now...
