    What temp is too hot?

So, over the weekend, I put in a new stock replacement thermostat, because I thought the old one might be sticking open or closed from time to time. While I was at it, I put in a bottle of Water Wetter, and raised the water-to-antifreeze ratio to about 60:40. Today, on my way home from work...

    What temp is too hot?

What temp is too hot? - Think I'm overheating. I installed gauges and a supercharger a couple months ago. Never really knew what tempterature my car was really running before that, so I have no idea what I should expect to see now. While it was cool, the car stayed between 180-205 degrees...

    Let's Talk Brake Pads

I absolutely hate Hawk HPS pads. Their bite compared to my OEm Bullitt pads is pathetic, and they suffer from brake fade badly. That's with Bear EradiSpeed rotors, which they have now ruined. I'm going back to OEM Ford pads when these finally go, or I get fed up with them.

pass side motor mount ground strap

I'd think it would go to the engine block. I've done it a couple times, but it's been a few years.

4.10 gears with a centri supercharger

I daily drive on my ProCharged GT with 473 RWHP and 4.10s. The top end of first gear is kind of useless on the street, but otherwise it's nice. I imagine with 26" tires you will be right at the 6250 rev limiter in the 1/4 mile. I haven't taken mine to the track yet with the new blower, so I...

Mac Cold Air Intake for 1999-2004 Mustang GT

[SOLD] Mac Cold Air Intake for 1999-2004 Mustang GT This Mac cold air kit fits all 1999-2004 Mustang GTs with stock 65mm up to 75mm aftermarket throttle bodies. It is very similar to the BBK kits you commonly see now. This one served me well for several years, providing improved throttle...

    new clutch and fly wheel

McLeod clutches are, hands down, the best I've used. Give them a call and they'll set you up with a clutch to fit your needs. I got the basic single-disc street clutch, pressure plate, and steel flywheel, and it held 308 RWHP with no problem at all. 100s of track passes and my daily driver...

The quickest way to gain 40 hp

My best friend drives a 2002 TransAM WS6, and I've been chasing him for 5 years now. Bone stock, he got 13.2s in the quarter mile. Here's what I had done to my 2002 GT when I finally broke the 13.2 mark: Long tube headers and off-road exhaust 4.10 gears Underdrive pulleys Cold air intake...

Anyone know of a Shock and Strut How to??

I second this. Everyone needs a Haynes manual, even if it isn't perfect.

    Cobra brake upgrade question

I did what everyone always says, and just did the fronts (Bullitts, in my case). The braking was dramatically improved, but the car bucked forward a little more than I expected because of the imbalance between the Bullitt fronts and the GT rears. I finally upgraded the rears as well, and it...

Wheel Help. Will 20x10 wheels fit in the back?

They'll fit as long as the tire isn't significantly taller than stock. I run 17x10.5s with stock height tires with no problem.

Help me decide on what year mustang I want

I didn't actually count the threads on my new and old heads, but I sat them down side-by-side to compare them, and there's 50-100% more on my 2003-2004 heads as there were on my 2002 heads. It's a dramatic improvement. When I spoke to the guy at Fox Lake, he said the 2003-2004 heads had the...

    Pulling/installing motor with LT's

I believe in most cases you can pull the motor with them still attached. I tried to, but couldn't becuase mine wrap around the steering shaft, which simply was too big to fit through the gap between the primaries. If that's not an issue with your headers, you should be able to leave them on.

Help me decide on what year mustang I want

Exactly. When I bought my Fox Lake Stage 2 heads, I paid the extra $100 for the 2003-2004 cores and ditched my 2002 cores. Having seen them side-by-side, I can tell you the spark plug threads are dramatically deeper.

Anything I can do about the chips in my paint?

I'd like to do that, but really the hood is just one of several bad areas. The front bumper needs to be completely repainted, the driver's side door, side scoop, and rear fender need it, and the passenger side front fender needs it. Might as well just get the whole car done. The rest of her...

Anyone have experience with electric exhaust cutouts?

My tuner was rather surprised when I gained 5 RWHP with them open. But that's with fairly aggressive cams and long tubes (and pre-blower). They do make some nice noise, though. :nice:

Anything I can do about the chips in my paint?

Yeah, that's what I've used in the past. It's better than nothing, but still not all that great.
