    1979 Mustang 2.3 replacement turbo - Garrett?

Had a 79 indy pacecar edition back in the late 80's and early 90s. When I bought the car the turbo was toast. I remember buying a turbo from some company in Cali, (Turbo City?) don't recall for sure. It had an adjustable rod on the wastegate IIRC. The early turbo cars didn't perform nearly as...

Harmonic Balancer Puller Threaded Hole Size In Balancer

I'm trying to change the harmonic balancer on my 4.0 and don't have the correct length bolts. I've seen it recommended to use all thread. I can't find any locally so was going to order the correct length bolts to fit. I wanted to verify the correct thread size before ordering. Anyone know?

    Where to find.........

Most vendors carry skins, B-pillar flange to rear flange and over the top body line just short of the C-pillar. Dynacorn is the best. Some of the others (Tiawanese) have a distorted line transition into the wheel flare above the qtr ornament. I bought mine from CJPP, Tiawan versions.

    Can a 429 go in a 69 M-code Mustang?

Someone has no idea what they're talking about. Many have done this before including Ford (69/70 Boss 429) I think you might actually be able to fit the a non-boss 429 without modifying the shock towers but it will be tight. Regardless, there's a company that makes pieces for modifying...

DISCOURAGED! Should I replace, keep or give her up???

My current 69 has been apart for 26 years. I drove it for 2 years after I bought it and started taking it apart the week my oldest was born. 4 years into it I threw it back together to move it when I got out of the AF. It sat for about a year till I got a house. Worked on it for a couple more...

Haven't driven mine since 1986. Different priorities pevailed and my rebuild plans have changed a couple of times but I enjoy getting out and working on it when I can. Going to pick up new quarter skins and taillight panel at the end of the month and should be able to finish up the back end of...

List of questions for a 69 Mustang

Your engine is a 351M or 400. That flat just to the right of the distributor is almost level with the flat under the distributor on a 351C engine. 351Ms are slightly taller than the C version much like a 351W is to a 302. 351Ms & 400s were truck and big car engines and don't have much for...

3rd annual car show - Dayton, Ohio

Bump as a reminder. Door prizes are excellent. The organizer got hooked up with some car care kits (Meguires I think) and I think he said he also got hooked up with some Mr Coffee machines (haven't verified it yet) plus some other goodies. Weather is looking good.

MM & FM returning to classic mustang format

Anyone else get the email from Mark Houlahan? I complained when they went to the new format a year or so ago. I even posted on their website about the lack of classic content. The January 2010 issue is supposed to return to the classic mustang format. I'll have to pick up an issue somewhere and...
