    Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like a timing cover w/the hole for a front dipstick. I believe this hole was for the earlier small blocks, otherwise it is just an un-drilled boss there.

    Ok, so I know that the 93 2.3 N/A motor has a 105 hp peak and 135 ft/lbs torque peak, but does anyone know the RPMs at which each happens? I can't find the ratings anywhere...

    Got the TC clutch in today. Pressure plate lines up with the outer holes and dowels beautifully :-). Now I can use those stock bolts I got, and as long as the ARP flywheel set is the right size I'm ready to go! So, i guess for anyone else doin the swap that might read this, Perfection flywheels...

    Yep, it was that damn interlock, lol. I can see the cable below the bezel around the shifter. Apparently somewhat of a "click" is the key to knowing it's locked in. I thought I had wiggled it before to see if that was the case, but you guys were right, u really have to slam it into park. But...

    Yea, the dowels came with the flywheel, and as with the bolt holes, there's 2 sets. I looked at a pic of the TC clutch in the AAP system and the holes on that pressure plate look like they'll line up w/the outers on the flywheel. I'll have the clutch tm, so I'll report what I find when I get home.

    Actually I'm getting some ARP Flywheel bolts from Summit on the way (thanx RustBucket for the part number!). I'm holding onto the stock PP bolts that I pulled and I'm gonna see if a TC clutch will just line up on the outer bolt holes and that way I can use those bolts and have a better clutch...

    Yea, it just kicks hard when the torque converter locks up. The car shouldn't jump around or anything, u'll just feel a hard thud.
