'14 Mustang Gt Power To Weight Ratio

Would a factory 2014 Mustang GT beat or lose to most Mercedes AMG's? I know most Mercedes AMG's have a bit more horsepower, but given the power to weight ratio of the Mustang GT with 420 BHP it is also generally about 800 to 1000 pounds lighter than the Mercedes. I ask because where I live I get a lot of AMG's picking races with me on the highway. I want to feel confident if I choose to engage. Thanks for any input in advance.

depends what AMG. An AMG 6.3 C63 has a little more power and a little more weight so, it balances. An ML63 is in the full boat SUV class. If it's a 2016 S class with a biturbo V12 on 621 horse...It isn't a simple question; they got some mean engines in them. Depends on what speed you start at; the higher the speed the worse for the Mustang, as it is an aerodynamic atrocity and has a 147-ish speed limiter stock.
